Colin Weir, who recently bought a controlling stake in Partick Thistle has passed away today.
He was clearly a lifelong Jags fan and finally realised his ambition to own the club.
Very sad he won’t be able to fulfil his dream.
RIP sir!!

Condolences to his family.
His support could be a game changer for the Jags and maybe Scottish football. So much more meaningful than if he had just pumped his cash into either of the OF.

RIP Mr Weir ... A bit of a blow for the Jags possibly because its always handy to have somebody who cares about you with a lot of money. Both him and his ex wife were the sort of folk you want to see win the lottery because its pretty clear they both had / have big hearts.
Yep just posted on Twitter.
Loved his club and football.
Rip Colin.

Don’t think he kept the best of health at the time of his win a few years ago.
