:agree:
Slivka near enough every week just scrapes pass marks and no more. He’s very rarely much worse than that but he’s also very rarely much better. Time to go imo.
Also seems to be injured/vanishes from the whole squad far too often.
Agreed....it’s a symptom of our lack of quality that people want Slivka to stay...nice technical player, but not the answer...

Omeonga, Hallberg and Newell are better options than him, when Mallan returns that puts him down to fifth choice CM.
His time at Hibs is up I’m afraid.

Assuming that we bring in the missing defensive midfielder, would anyone be that disappointed if Slivka left us this week?

Disappointed when any quality player leaves but you may have a point in context.
I thought Newell (again) looked very good in the central role yesterday so we already have good options in there.

Quite the opposite. If we could use his wage towards filling the position that needs filled most, I’d be delighted.
He's had 2.5 years to impress and cement a place in the team, he has some talent but his game isn't really suited to Scottish football. Flits in and out of games, barely getting pass Mark's with the odd good game now and then. It's a thanks but time to move on.

Failed to nail down a starting berth under 3 separate managers now despite the odd decent performance. Will be away this month or the summer.

Straight swap for Paul McGinn.

After today, nope. I don't think the problems of us leaking goals is mostly the back line, it's the likes of Slivka not doing their defensive duties and being caught napping way too often, putting way too much pressure on our defence.
Just not good enough.

Played well during the week. Not great again today. The story of his Hibs career.

I don't feel he'll be one of the players we regret leaving - we can get better.

Yep, very inconsistent which sums up his Hibs career.
Think he’ll be moved on in the summer

Totally to blame for their goal.
He offers very little, imo.

He did what he always does, plays well in one game and is a passenger in the next.

Can we not just enjoy last night's great result without going through the team finding someone to slag off.

100% yes until he has that game we’re he is nonexistent again. I think he has a bit of class, composed on the ball, nice touch. Is he enough for that center midfield role? Not so sure. Really has until the end of the season to prove himself

He didn’t cover himself in glory at the goal, but neither did 3 or 4 other players. I thought Boyle was probably the most culpable overall. Slivka did fine yesterday and was excellent on Wednesday.
He won’t be staying and it will be another gamble to see if we can get better than him.
I can see another major midfield rebuild over the summer.

A technically gifted player who would walk into any SPL club bar the OF, Aberdeen and Hibs. Sometimes I think the frantic pace of Scottish football doesn't suit his game but he is very good squad player who can be brilliant on his day.

Slivka when we have the ball is a decent player but out of possession he is hopeless. The Ross county game we had a lot more of the ball.

No for me. That’s almost 3 years we have had to try and convince ourselves he’s the answer but he’s not.

Flatters to decieve. He is a continental-style player who likes it slow'n'easy. But when they going gets tough he goes awol. Easy to play against. Just don't give him any time on the ball and mix it. His selection midweek v Ross County took most on here by surprise after looking like he had dropped right out of the picture. Prob took RC by surprise too, hence he got the space and time he needs. Should have been hooked at half-time y'day with Newell going more central and Stevenson on at LWB. But suspect JR maybe knew Newell wasn't going to last. Should only play as a last resort and when JR is sure he'll get plenty time and space on the ball before summer departure. Don't think he'll stay in the Scottish game. Somewhere hot with a slow tempo game will suit him better. 'Strailya?
