I don’t know if it’s been confirmed but I’ve been told this morning via some text messages.

Bit of a mare.

Apologies if already posted.

I am not sure Villa will be playing in the same league as Man Utd next season. Another side who emptied a good percentage of their squad and not for the better. Grealish will move before McGinn.

Yup. He's done well this year but Villa will go down and that, plus missing half the season will definitely impact his value.

Would’ve been worse if it was his ligaments.

3/4 months wouldn’t be the worst, could be back before the end of the season

Nightmare for Scotland mind you

They were very unlucky I thought at the beginning of the season and playing well. McGinn not been firing on all cylinders last month or so either and I always hot the feeling once he got back to his best again they would just stay up.

No chance now though.

Yup. As someone who did their ankle ligaments the doctor told me it would have been better “and quicker” if I had just broken it.

Hopefully he makes a full recovery without any impact on his mobility (ankle can take a long time) and it might not be such a bad thing for him to get a bit of downtime. He's played a hell of a lot of football over the last few years.

Yeah, ligament damage is the killer for players.
Wish they had lifted him off the pitch rather than the hobbling to the dressing room he did.

They’ve not been great with him!

Unfortunately the role he’s been given by them won’t stop them conceding goals. He’s contributed a lot going forward as he’s been told to stay as high as possible, but they concede so many goals that it’s almost inevitable they’ll go down if it continues.

It’s a real blow for John. Hope he’s back playing as soon as he can

Correct, but him and Grealish are hands down their best outfield players. Losing one of them is almost the final nail in the coffin.

If Villa go down he is more likely to be sold, and we are more likely to get a sell on fee.

Although the price he is sold for is almost definitely less than if he had been playing the last months of the season mind you.

I reckon he’ll be back in march.

My thoughts exactly. Hes been playing through the pain barrier for weeks and the villa fans have been wanting him benched to give him a rest. They are going down unless they get a couple of decent players in January. If they do go down I'm sure he will be sought after by a few teams in the epl. Get back soon sjm.

He'll not go unless villa get a very good price for him. If he comes back and finishes the season off well then it will take £40- 50m for him to go meaning a huge payday for us.
