A wee mention for Hanlon, who has gone on from having a really shaky first half to having a very assured 2nd half.

And at least I won’t be the only one who will have to eat a few of the words I used on the first couple of pages of this thread.

We're definitely back. Ross has us organized and disciplined, and now we're not burning out after an hour of high tempo football. It's like Heck never happened. Right now we're the best of rest outside the OF. Despite our horror start, we should be thinking about a challenge for 3rd/4th and Europe.

Before the St Johnstone game if you would have said we could have 13 points out of 18 going into two games against the old firm and a derby I think must people would have been happy. The guys take a bit of a bashing at times, but credit where credit is due for the last 6 weeks overall

That was a sensational result. At half time it was very much in the balance but we were brilliant second half.

Kamberi, Boyle and Allan were on another level and the defence, Porteous in particular, coped admirably.

We rode our luck at times but if we keep playing like we did in the second half it's going to be a great season.

Back out working, what a cracking game and performance, everyone did their bit and fought hard for the win. My MOM was Kamberi and he topped it of with a great goal, geat seeing Boyle running at defences with that pace again, been sorely missed.

A terrific win and a very valuable 3 points, given our remaining fixtures to the end of 2019.

It's frustrating that Hibs threw away 5 points versus Killie and RC though. If Hibs had managed to see those games out with wins, they would be on 27 points in 5th just 2 points behind the sheep.

What a great match. Everyone played well. I would go as far as saying the ref had a good match too, despite Aberdeens persistent fouling it was difficult for him to book one of them as they, as per usual shared the fouling about their whole team. While I couldn't see it myself by all accounts he got the dive decision correct too.

That ball from Allan for the first goal was sublime. You have to have a strong mentality to be a player like Allan, he gets kicked about the park most weeks and still gets up and tries to play football. I am so happy Boyler is back to his best, in fact his finishing has improved a lot. Kamberi's goal was brilliant. It has been 50 odd years since we beat them in the league by three goals according to Richard Gordon so that shows how well we played today. While Hanlon was a but ropey in the first half he was excellent in the second making a couple of world class tackles, Porto is a special talent. Ross got out the team exactly what he said he wanted, the subs came on and were effective and we were not a soft touch near the end of the game as we have been. The only bad thing about today was the cold and the rain :greengrin

We managed the game pretty well after getting 2 and 3 ahead. Pretty much had everyone behind the ball when Aberdeen had it and they struggled to find a way through. We countered with pace and had some great passing exchanges through the midfield, but also weren't afraid to mix it up with a few no nonsense long balls to help regroup. A hugely entertaing afternoon and a scoreline few could have predicted.

Totally enjoyable getting up the sheep and walking away with three well deserved points. Been robbed of results in the past so this is a good one. Made better by the Jambos getting stuffed by Motherwell although personally, from a Hibs perspective, I would have preferred a draw.
