I don’t understand why Jackson doesn’t get a game, apart from one error against Motherwell I think he has done really well. Against Celtic he was having a very good game before getting injured, never seen since.

For me the only good thing about Aberdeen is Cosgrove, the rest of them are nothing special at all IMO. I don't see any reason why we can't beat them, because at the back they're very ordinary. For me McKenna is totally overrated, Considine's past it and Logan's erratic. Best means of defence is attack, we should really go for it.

I'm pretty sure we've been saying this about Aberdeen, give and take, for about three years. Yet they still always beat us.

That is a good point that I had forgotten about.
If he is on the bench he would have played if Maxwell came off injured.
Unlikely but a possibility and perhaps a risk Hibs had to run.
Bogdan payed for the young team this week so probably ready to take his place on the bench or possibly in the team.
Would be a little unfair to lob him into such a big game on Saturday.

They key for me is stopping the amount of chances Cosgrove gets. Shielding the defence with the two sitters takes away the ball to feet or is chest whilst with Boyle and Kamberi high and wide it stops the full backs getting time to lump it in our box.

Boyle on the left as Iv yet to see him get the better of Considine, use his pace and directness against Logan who is a certainty for a mistake now a days. Kamberi is more physical and skilful to get the better of Considine imo.

The front 4 shouldn’t be static or rigid in the final third though which I think is half of our problem lately. They should all be drifting in, interchanging and making it really hard for the opposition to pick them up.

It will be a battle and we will have to be very wary of set pieces as half their tram are over 6ft - Taylor, Considine, McKenna, Ferguson, Cosgrove, Vyner and Leigh

As Rocky has played 80 games for us it seems an unusual cut off point , but suspect it could be 100 and we have just been playing it careful

The tight diamond is causing us problems as it exposes us on the wings, giving the opposition too much time and space to deliver crosses into our box. A change of formation for me rather than the same formation with different people.

If that was the case re Rocky why would he be on the Bench as the goalie could get injured or sent off and he would need to come on. Would play the team you suggest v Aberdeen as Daz would bring much needed strength.

Agree on this team. Don't mind which keeper. Issue will be contracting Aberdeen's in midfield ... but I think our main problem is how to get all the quality players on the pitch in a formation that works and this is the best compromise.

BTW Slikva - not a massive fan, a good player on his day, but I'm not sure who we would have to replace him

Been saying it all the way through Hecky s reign this season that Whitti was possibly the answer to having someone that can play the deep sitting midfielder that lets others play and gives defence more protection, would also argue that he is a better passer of the ball two footed than anyone in the squad ...his reading of the game is good and he will compete . ..really interested to see what the selection is today, if JR goes with the same team it would be concerning that we have a number of fit players that could be used easily to change things/shake it up a bit and show that mediocre performances and you won't keep your place !!

I'm sure there was a stat out recently that showed our team runs the furthest in all games this season outwith Rangers. I don't think fitness is a weakness.
