View Full Version : Fake Adidas Hibs Items on Ebay - Be Careful

There are sellers on ebay who are listing fake Adidas Hibs items quite frequently, they'll say in the small print that it's part of a vintage/reproduction range (vintage and reproduction are completely different things) but they won't say which. A reproduced item is not an authentic item, so listings like the zip up tracksuit top below (currently at over £100) are fakes. Watch out, folks.

"This jacket has the club green colour but grey sleeves instead of the white worn on match day shirts."

So it's a green and grey adidas zip up top with the Hibs badge sewn into it.

Was watching 'Guilt' on BBC iplayer and the 2 main characters are hibbies with one lounging around in addidas Hibs top. Felt jealous. Good programme too, well worth a watch

Looks cool but was never an official design. Im sure the tracksuits in those days had black in them.

They did indeed.

Thats the very one I was thinking about. Its even the picture I was thinking of!

On another note, love that German style top that Collins was sporting.

Nice clear pic of the label 😂

I honestly can’t even remember anything like that being around at the time. So that alone would have made me question its authenticity.

1 ⭐️- fake, sleeves were grey, looks like you’ve forgot the colour catcher

I know the actor who was wearing it. It’s Mickey Weir’s match worn top from the 91 cup final win

Great factoid!
Will have to watch this now.
I take it the actor is very small?

89-96 badge on a track top that looks like 60s/70s. Looks awful IMO

Jamie Sives. A good Hibee from Lochend. Used to work with him before he left for acting school.

So many good tops ruined by that horrendous badge. I hated it. Glad it's gone and replaced by one that actually means something.

Pedant alert but that badge was used up to 2000.

I stand corrected. Possibly makes the top even worse though 😂

Oh dear. Looks nice, but not £100 nice.

There's a eBay seller up n Dundee (I think) punting similar dodgy looking fakes. Guess if you want something badly then why not.

I love this picture from the same thread. If someone photoshopped the ball out of the image it would basically look like you was in the middle of Fart training :greengrin

There is a real increase in these vendors and a variation on quality

Aztec retro who went tits up did some nice umbro/Adidas reproduction stuff at the 40 quid mark

there a guy on twitter called dunnotter churning out a lot of dodgy not quite right looking matchwinner and other 90s strip makers stuff for some of the smaller teams

I think they did really crap bukta one for us and I saw a boy wearing the worst looking 91 LC final top reproduction I have ever seen which I think came from there.

the copa/toffs/score draw stuff is good quality but usually just a look a like style although toffs bukta range for all clubs looks really nice and good quality,

Hibs should be doing everything in their power to have Adidas as our sponsor for next year, look how much people would spend on a fake never mind real stuff

Is the deal with Macron up at the end of this season

Maybe against the grain but I’ve really liked their kits - despite the sizing reminding me I’m not as slim as I used to be

I've got that exact jumper but it's white with different colours instead of green and black. Would pay an absolute fortune for that Hibs one.
