I keep hearing we have a shortlist of five so I've put in the five candidates that are likely to be on said list, plus an "other" option. Let's see who the board wants.

John Kennedy. Based on gut feeling alone, he would be my choice. I wouldn't be overly upset with any of the names on that list though.

Aitor Karanka - based on quite a few factors. Money permitting.

i like the idea of John Kennedy . Looks like he is well regarded at Celtc Park, although that shouldn't matter.

I know it isn't up to us to name a successor but my worry with this poll was that it would be too easy to click none of the above. That seems a bit of a cop out unless you have an alternative.

Fair play on putting forward a decent suggestion.

If we got him there would no Jason Cummings i would suggest

Kennedy for no other reason than it feels very similar to my 2 favourite Hibs managers Stubbs and Mowbray.

I doubt we’ll be picking our next manager based on whether or not Jason would come back

I don't think we can be taking any chances with this appointment. The new manager needs to be familiar with Scottish football and know the standard and type of player required . I don't think we should appoint someone who hasn't experienced the pressure of being a manager in their own right which requires a broader skill set than just coaching players on the training ground. I've picked Robinson but Jack Ross would also fulfill those requirements.

Went with JR. Still have a feeling Stubbs will get an interview.

Jack Ross is a very tactical and defensive manager is he not?

We moaned about Alex Miller for 10 years before he went. We slated Bobby Williamson and forced Heck to leave for being similarly un-Hibs.

So why Ross?

Voted for Jack Ross and I think he'll get it but would also be happy with Stendel or Stubbs. Surprised there's no option to vote for Stubbs.

I really really do hope we give it to Stubbs till the end of the season
he would bring back the feel good factor and Easter Road would be jumping AGAIN

Kennedy and/or Henrik Larsson

Why?

Jack Ross for me btw. Would be good if Ian Murray could be part of it too, doing a fantastic job at Airdrie.

I didn’t see anything in the way St Mirren tore up thenChampionship that was defensive at all.

After your Doidge prophesy, why don't you just tell us who the new man is going to be?

Kennedy, progressed well at Scotland's biggest club and Larrson has experience in this country but hopefully not bogged down by the so called poor standard, a John Collins type appointment

Dont see Hibs paying compensation
john kennedy would be good but hated Neil Lennon talking about celtic
scott gemmill was interviewed by Hibs previously

J Ross has to be the realistic best choice for me at this current time. Don’t think we really know what we’d get from any of them unless given a chance

Larrson got his team relegated in Sweden, he got knocked back from the Southend job because his mate wasn’t taking a role in his back team because he didn’t know the British game -I hardly think it would be any kind of step down.

Ah yes, the guy with a worse record at Barnsley than Paul Heckingbottom but hey he’s German so he must be good.

Pretty sure Stendal had a far superior win stat than Heckingbottom did at Barnsley.
Also sets his team out to attack. Unlike you know who .

Overall % was higher for Stendel as he played a lot more games in League 1 than PH. However if you compare their performances in each league, PH performed better.

While Barnsley were in League 1:
Heckingbottom 64%
Stendel 57%

While Barnsley were in the Championship:
Heckingbottom 16%
Stendel 8%

Post Turnbull(from 1980) we have had 19 managers who were in charge for an average 93 matches, varying from Frank Sauzee's 15 to Alex Miller's 453. Stubbs had the best win ratio with 58 in 100 games. In the last 10 years we have had 7 managers. Let's hope for some stability!

Where did I say that? We've been asked our choice for next manager. From the choices given he's mine. What's yours? I won't comment negatively on your choice :na na:

Experienced with a great track record in Scotland - Tommy Wright.

Young, inexperienced but hopefully with potential - Shaun Maloney.

Shows the difference in standard between League 1 and the Championship, quite a gulf.

He was not knocked back at all according to the Southend chairman, after Johnson took a job somewhere else, he still offered the job to Larsson, it was him that declined the job.

Ah okay, I read wrongly then. I wonder why he need TJ that much to hold his hand? If that’s the case he should be nowhere near our job.

He wanted someone who knew the league well, which isn’t a bad idea
