Absolutely sickening story about a 10 year old boy attacked by teenage thugs, I hope they catch these little *******s and punish them accordingly.

That's horrible, I've got a wee nephew not much older than that, can't imagine how the parents/relatives must be feeling. 😠
Keep your chin up wee man!

I hope so mate.
Maybe Hibs or Hearts could organise a family day out for the boy. Horrible ordeal for him.

Good idea mate. There’s already a just giving page for the boy. I’ve no idea where his loyalties lie, but it would be nice if hibs could take the lead. I’ll text kenny millar he’s always up for this sort of thing.

Think the young lad has maybe through enough! ;-)
On a more serious note what a bunch of cowards. Picking on a wee laddie like that. They say what goes around comes around and I doubt there will be many tears shed if that comes true for this bunch.

Reminiscent of the Jamie Bulger case, when you read it. Absolutely horrific, I don't agree with violence as a way of teaching folk a lesson, o can't say that I'd be against the perpetrators here getting their comeuppance though.

Agreed :agree:
Gang bullying and beating like that is horrible in any circumstances... but a f***ing ten year old laddie?!
Surely the guilty parties could face serious charges if caught.. kidnapping being the very least of it.

If caught you just know it's a slap on the wrist. Sickening. Hopefully some real justice is dished out.

Every chance their is a cruel psychopath at the centre of that gang. He needs taken out of circulation before he goes further.

Not a big fan of satire then. :faf:
FWIW it's a terrible thing to happen to a young lad but with support he'll come out the other end ok. I know because I was that boy. In my first week at primary school I was ambushed on my way home by 7 older boys of around 10 and 11 and beaten black and blue for an extended period before being left helpless and bleeding from my head beneath a lamppost for the crime of being an only child to a single mum with learning difficulties. The beating is one thing but the psychological baggage that a 5 year old has to carry after such an ordeal can be hard to deal with for a child at that age who will tend to seek answers within himself as to what he did to deserve it. Punishment for the perpetrators is necessary but also secondary to reassurances that it was not his fault. Something like that stays with you for life and depending on how much help he gets now, it will determine how it effects his personality going forward. I was lucky to have support that made it absolutely clear that it was the perpetrators who were abnormal and not me. The incident has helped form who I am and my hate for mob rule and bullies will always be a part of my make up and is the reason I've made life choices that have seen me involved in organisations and employment where I can help people. Luckily I'm of a physical size and intelligence that I personally do not have to suffer or tolerate bullies but will always step in when I witness them at work.
I hope the boy gets the support he now needs.

For someone that was bullied, your remarks are borderline bullying. I’m fine with having a difference of opinion about a subject without bashing the other person. I thought this was a horrible thing to happen to the lad and I know that whatever punishment these cretins get, won’t even come close to being deserved. Your comment was below the belt and a total cheap shot, for what?

For someone who is tired of people being PC and makes jokes about people getting shot in their own home and then tells people to lighten up, you seem to be a bit thin skinned. Maybe you should follow your own advice?

The difference is, I’m not singling people out here and taking cheap shots at them. I’m not offended by any of it, I’m just not going to sit quietly while someone takes a dig at me for no reason.

Perhaps some would argue this wasn't the thread for Hibrandenburg to make such a joke. But I don't think many will agree that he is worse than you because his was a light-hearted dig at a hibs.net poster's opinion.. rather than a simple joke about a murdered woman.
"borderline bullying" was the best joke of the lot.
