Bring them on.

Days out at Hampden are one of the best parts of being a Hibs fan (at least until the game comes round :greengrin)

Hibs to win on pens.

Highly unlikely we'll win it any other way, Calumn.

Although, nobody seems to be able to beat the mighty Hibees!

Considering we are how we are and that celtic have won the last 9 trophies available in scotland and generally up their game in cup competitions i think it would be one of the biggest shocks we have pulled off if we somehow do it. Would certainly top beating the huns on penalties those years ago imo. I think the chances are extremely slim though. I really hope we show some fight. Whether they do it for the fans, the club, manager, own professional pride or family just go out and give everything for 90 minutes please.

Theres going to be 40+ thousand Celtic fans there roaring them on. If Celtic are remotely struggling on Saturday then Forest will fall over in the box and Madden will point to the penalty spot to help them out.

Will take a special performance to beat us 😉

Don't think any of us expect to progress to the final but if the players are as up for it as they were against them at ER a few weeks back then who knows. I've got a similar feeling to when we beat Rangers on pens in the 2007 semi. I'd be over the moon with the same outcome! It's a big as though.

Really looking forward to the day out and a few beers with mates. Can't beat it.

Aye thats right, we didnt go through the quarters to get to Hampden......what a ridiculous question???

I take its the hundreds of teams who have won trophies winning on pens.....liverpool in 2005 for example, dont count that because they didnt win in 90 mins......jeez.

And my point was that plenty folk stated that we would get thumped by Aberdeen and Celtic.....we didnt. Ok im not expecting us to win but you just never know.

Folk also said we would beat St Johnstone, Ross County, Hamilton, Livingston and Hearts. We didn’t.

We’ve won on penalties once since being scudded off Motherwell since August and you see that as some kind of achievement.

Ah so winning on penalties is a win now then is it?

Who said it was an acheivement? You really have a way of turning things around to bash the club or supporters who dont agree with every bit of club bashing you post??

I actually think that you and others dont want us to win on Saturday......in fact im sure of it.

No, it was winning the tie. We didn’t do enough to win a game of football and we haven’t since we won in August against Morton.

Why would I not win us to win on Saturday?

It’s the people that bash everyone seriously concerned about where we are heading that gets me. Absolutely guaranteed you didn’t want Butcher sacked and he was the best person to get us through the “rough patch” and the playoffs and everyone ****ting themselves was bashing the club and didn’t want us to win regardless.

For the record, I don’t think there’s even a remote chance we will win the League cup. There’s more chance of Scotland making the Euros, in fact a lot greater chance. It won’t stop me wanting us to win, which you said I won’t which is ***** as you’ve obviously got a way of saying you’re more of a supporter than others and turning others into not wanting Hibs to win.
I would love us to win on Saturday as the money in the final might help us get players to stop us being relegated again.

You keep thinking we beat Killie though. We didn’t even have a ****ing shot at goal mate.

There is a poster on another thread stating that he would rather see us losing 4-0 if it meant the manager getting sacked so dont start that **** about being better fans etc. and that no one wants us to lose. There are absolutely some that do.

How is me saying that we MIGHT not get thumped in the semi saying im a better fan than others.....ffs. Get a grip of yourself. All i said was that you never know.

For the record i dont particularly want the manager to stay, but that doesnt mean that everything imust be a negative just so the manager gets sacked. That certainly appears to be happening on here at the moment. I can have the opinion that he isnt the man for the job but that we arent getting thumped every week, and competing, so hopefully wont take much to turn it around.

Oh.....and we did beat killie.....we are in the semi.....they are not.

If we are going to sack PH, I’d rather we had done it before the Celtic game. I would then have given the lads a free rein to go out and have a go, no blame attached. As it is, they’ll go out, get hammered and we’ll have a Saturday night and all of Sunday, moaning and groaning about how bad PH is etc, etc,. till he’s sacked on Monday. By continually referencing events in the recent past to justify your opinion, I think you’re missing my point, ( which maybe I haven’t made clear ) that I think our present problems, combined with Celtic’s very good present form, will result in a bit of a hammering. Mind you, I hope you’re right.
