Hearts say they are investigating claims that Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos was racially abused from the stand during today’s league match at Tynecastle.

They do seem to act quickly

Purely out of curiosity; will they also be investigating any claims of sectarian abuse when Lennon next appears at Tynecastle?

Did they ever catch the person that threw the coin at Lennon head? That seemed to be all forgotten about.

Have we caught the guy that threw the bottle at Easter Road?
Has that been all forgotten about?
You know the one, it could have killed Scott Sinclair or did you forget?

It's not always possible to catch all the culprits.
Both teams have since spent money on better CCTV in a bid to reduce the chances of knobbers getting away with violent behaviour

The coin that hit Lennon on his padded jacket before he threw himself to the floor clutching his head? Lennon courted controversy and we’re well shot off him

I've already said it is no excuse for racism directed at him.

I miss the days when we had players that did that sort of thing. It showed their willingness to get it right up the opposition at every opportunity. Something we sadly lack right now.

What days were those? I have never seen Hibs players always celebrate right infront of the opposition fans and wind them up. Occassionally if its a rival or a team they used to play for but never like him.

Morelos plays the panto villain well, he gets right under the opposition fans skin and TBH I'd love to have a player like that who can score goals and give as good as he gets. We have far too many boy band as it's been put players, we need some bloody arrogance in the team, very few at ER nowadays that have the balls and swagger you need to succeed.

I can't really get worked up about players celebrating in front of opposing fans. It's pantomime stuff and every league needs a few players fans love to hate.

Fans love a bit drama. Shout abuse at players for 90 minutes and then get all upset when they give a wee bit back. If somebody goes to the football and reacts to a celebration by shouting racist abuse, throwing a coin or whatever else then they really need to take a look at themselves.

He was still on the pitch then though, running around celebrating. This idiot goes right to the oppostion, leaving the pitch, sits down and shushes them. If he ever actually turns up against Celtic and does that, someone is going to kick his head in.

I remember the bold Jase scoring against Hearts in the 1-0 Scottish Cup replay inside the first five minutes stood off the pitch with his hands outstretched as if to say this is what you are missing Stubbsy told him not to do it but he claimed he was only looking for his pals in the Jambo horde he picked up a booking and then another for petulance in the second half and saw red!

Or maybe, she's not that interested in football, but is a single parent, season ticket holder taking her kid to a game he's interested in and the act of taking a photo isn't actually a terrible crime?

Maybe?

Exactly. Why isn't Morelos being booked for it?

I do not like the guy as much as the next Hibby

I do not have an issue with him celebrating in front of me on or off the park or even in my face

It is our job to stop him scoring

I remember Super A##@hole and Wee Robbo doing it all too vividly in games versus HIBS

It is all part and parcel of the game

I do not think we should be saying Ref book him

If the Ref decides it is over exuberant, has left the field of play without permission or about to incite a riot fair enough

Credit where credit is due Alfredo has played 110 times for The Rangers he has scored 61 times

On the downside he has been booked 32 times and been sent off 5 times

It must surely have got to the stage that Slippy G must be fining him for any further indiscretions

He is a great striker Hearts only gave him an inch yesterday and he scored

He does not deserve to get coins chucked at him (St Mirren) or racially abused (Tiny)

To me the neanderthal in the Hearts end seen mouthing the abuse can be easily recognised by facial recognition and seat number and it is up to Budgie to take the appropriate action

No human being deserves to be racially abused either walking down the street or in the process of going about their occupation the same goes for sectarianism

Great question, and as asked, which is worse? and then which is the bigger problem in our society?

My take:

They are both the same.
Sectarian is the bigger problem as the scale we hear it on is like nothing else.
