Man's a genius - he could probably have made more if they were playing pool, or cards, but that's not the point really, £9m is £9m in anybody's language.

I'm not a huge fan of Banksy. I find a lot of his stuff quite simplistic and he's certainly not in the league of someone lie Blek le Rat, who he is hugely derivative of. I found the whole fawning over the Love is in the Bin piece little more than populist sycophancy. There seemed a suggestion that anti art, destructive art or even auto destructive art was a new concept or something Banksy had created rather than a movement dating back decades.

On saying all that you can't deny he has built a great little niche for himself. The air of mystery around his identity and Guardian reader friendly political sentiments has made him a crossover success between graffiti artist and darling of the middle classes. And I did like his Che Guevara posters on Portobello Road, mainly because the people they were aimed at seemed to miss the point entirely.

I saw a girl on holiday, who had a tatoo of "the girl with balloon" on her thigh. The only thing was the balloon was missing, I thought Banksy would have loved that - pushing the boundaries of irony, type of thing..

Can't say what class she was, but I am guessing working class.

I saw a girl on a train who was sitting with her feet together. Her tattoo had the girl on one foot and the escaping ballon was on the other. It looked really good.

Wonder how much distance the balloon can put between itself and the girl?

I didn't think to look at the other leg, to be honest.
