Best way to get rid of mice?

Any advice? Only found a couple of droppings so far but nippy. I bought one of those plugin things last year but clearly as useful as a chocolate fireguard

I did think about mixing prescription drugs with peanut butter. Warfarin is meant to be good

I started with two spring traps from B&Q. They were so effective I bought another pack of six online. Baited with a dab of peanut butter. Deadly.

If you don't want them to come back get a cat or borrow one for a week.

This reminded me of a strange incident a few years ago. I had a cat (still have as it goes) who used to be an excellent mouser (he’s knocking on a bit now though) and although there’s loads of vermin around locally, have never had a problem.
One night, a guy from upstairs chaps the door brandishing a pair of scissors... he says his flat is loupin wi mice so can I get my cat in order that he can cut some of his fur off to chuck around his house.
He made me feel guilty when he was told to bolt... shearing my cat’s no an option son, **** yersel right off!

Our old cat was a champion mouser, used to leave the remains behind the front door almost every night.

After he was gone all our neighbours started having mice problems!

We had a mouse a few years ago and my Mrs bought the humane traps but they didnt work.
Ended up purchasing a proper mousetrap from RS which done the job the first time it was used.
Not a nice feeling finding it though.
Poor wee mouse.

We had mice a few years ago, managed to catch it one night, mrs decided she would put it out in the car park at the back of our building as it could just go free!! Not the sharpest!!!

As long as you're prepared to check and dispatch on a regular basis.
I came across a glue trap in a Scotrail booking office once, was covered in live mice trying to gnaw themselves free!
Glue mats are not that humane, would rather the back breaker any day of the week.

I used a glue trap once to catch a rat. Never again, was horrific and I ended up having to kill the wee thing to put it out of its misery.

Got a wee spring cage thing and caught a few from the shed. Took them about 10 miles away and released them.

Should also add that I caught a hedgehog in it which was a nightmare to get out. So made sure I put it up higher.

we had a shed that was riddled with them. First hour caught about 10, took up the woods to empty, 2nd hour maybe caught 6,
left overnight and caught 2. That wasthe end of the mice.

ps we've got a cat, but she's thick as mince, and couldnt catch a cold
