From Evening News (https://www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/sport/football/hibs/latest-hibs-news/hibs-scouts-take-in-spurs-clash-with-bayern-munich-in-uefa-youth-league-1-5015691)

I wonder which of the Spurs or Bayern starlets they were watching.

:hmmm:

I know first-hand that we've recently taken a few Spurs youngsters to train with our Academy players. We had a keeper a couple of seasons back and a midfielder last season (or maybe it was the season before). There's clearly a working relationship between the clubs.

Kevin Clancy was ref. Maybe we're keeping a dossier on him.

That Gnabry is just a poor man's Ivan Sproule. I hope we stay well clear.

Yes he was.

You not read the link?

Rodel Richards was on target for the home side, who had Irish striker Troy Parrott in attack, while Kevin Clancy - who took charge of Hibs' 1-1 draw with Celtic at the weekend - was the man in the middle for the Under-19 meeting.

He couldn’t get a game for West Brom when Pulis was manager there!

He does sound like something out of the Beano alongside Gnasher and Gnipper.

Another old thread which nobody is interested in because it lost its relevance days ago, ruined by puns. It's just cuckoo.

Punsters should keep their powder dry for the popular "live" threads so the complainers have something real to cry fowl about instead of wasting their talents on redundant discussions.

It's all Greek to me anyway.

You sure? I think the punsters have extended the life of the thread. Hibs scouts were at the game and that's about all that can be said about it?

I also post on a Republic of Ireland forum where puns have now been banned mainly because threads kept getting out of control after Troy Parrott broke into our underage national squads.

The lad is a huge talent though, potentially one of the best ever to come out of Ireland. Not quite ready for the Spurs first team yet - unlikely that we could get him up here on loan but would be an amazing signing if we did.

I don't think he'd be a Heckingbottom type of signing though.

Your point is you're angry at people keeping a thread alive that would otherwise be on about page 4?

It wasn't a serious post which I thought would have been obvious given that I used it to make 2 puns.

It's more of a native American name!

A prison officer I know told me that there was a young guy in jail who thought he was a bit of a gangsta rapper like 50cent it something.

He wasn't the brightest and the officers used to call him Two Bob. :hilarious
