If it was a straight red he'll probably be suspended for the game on Saturday but I'm not 100% sure on that

Could be wrong here but think any cards, irrespective of colour, only apply to the competition in which they were received. If that's the case Porto will miss semi final.

If it’s a straight red it’s usually the next game they miss but I’m not sure if that’s just violent conduct or not :dunno:

They change the rules so much I really don’t know anymore! :greengrin

Chances of us only getting 12k tickets?...

After celtics roaring and greeting last time. I hope the SPFL are sensible and give us half the allocation. Any tickets we dont sell would probably go to celtic but as long as everyone who wants one in the hibs support can get one then there shouldnt be a big issue

I’d say if the SPFL were being sensible they should hand us about 16k and give the rest to Celtic.

We’ll not take anymore than 12k

We tried this last time and took half and ended up embarrassing ourselves with massive gaps

That was to do with the way the tickets were sold. If they had been sold block by block it wouldve been fine but instead we sold them for both north and south stands which meant there was no way to seggregate fans.

We’ll get half the main stand and as much of behind the goals as we need, which won’t be all of it IMO.

That’s because people want to be in the north stand, we’ll not get that option this time so it won’t matter. Hopefully we can sell most of behind the goals and with all our fans close together should help us create a better atmosphere

Your easily embarrassed. I want to sit in the best seats, not 500 yards behind the goal down the front. Won’t be chuffed if we don’t get tickets in the north stand.

If they are being sensible they will give us 12k from the south round the back of the west.

We sold about 12k when we had a good team and a chance 2 years ago. We'll be doing well to take 10k this time.

If it was Huns v Aberdeen i'd expect that to be the Sunday but with little chance of trouble between our game the the hun/wee hun game it'll be 50/50 whether its Saturday or Sunday.

Half 5 on the Saturday or 3pm on the Sunday. None of this 12 oclock bollocks.

Regarding tickets after our last showing at Hampden we'll have unfortunately done oursevles out of the north stand and likely to get the south stand and two thirds of the rangers end i'd say.

Yeh, we'll not get the full 25K and rightly so, as we'll never sell it.

Won't stop people with no intention of going to the game complaining about it though.

Pretty sure we will have the Saturday game as Celtic will have to fly out to Italy as they play Lazio on the early kick off the Thursday after and it will get them the extra day for arrangements and flights. rangers are at home to Porto at 8pm.

In the 70s & 80s it was pretty clear that there was something dodgy going on.

Here are the SC semi draws involving both Celtic and Rangers.

From what I remember, they never seemed to draw each other in the earlier rounds either.

1971 Rangers/Hibs - Celtic/Aidrie
1972 Celtic/Kilmarnock - Hibs/Rangers
1973 Rangers/Ayr - Celtic/Dundee
1977 Rangers/Hearts - Celtic/Dundee
1980 Rangers/Aberdeen - Celtic/Hibs
1983 Aberdeen/Celtic - Rangers/St Mirren
1989 Rangers/St Johnstone - Celtic/Hibs
1992 Rangers/Celtic - Airdrie/Hearts

Things have been different since the 90s.

I've been trying to find evidence of anyone admitting anything dodgy went on at the draws. Pretty sure it would have come out in someones autobiography by now. Until I can find that I'll stick with the odds. Happy to be proven wrong though but it's all theory and conspiracy stuff I feel.

The Old Firm avoided playing each other for about 50 years or so in semi final draws and given they got to semi finals regularly the odds were akin to winning every lottery in the world and being struck by a meteor all on the same day. :greengrin

There is absolutely no doubt that the football authorities in Glasgow helped out the Glasgow teams in draws. They even have an end each at the supposed National Stadium in Glasgow.

In days before live tv they were never shown live and were done in smoke filled rooms at Hampden.

Sequences will always occur, flip a coin 10000 times and there will be loads of times it lands the same way up mulitple times. Take a run of 10 heads in a row in isolation and the guy calling tails will think he's getting cheated.
