Seen it so many times. Bewildering

We habitually go down the cheap route too often. Cheap players from down south, cheap manager from down south. No football ambition. We have a community one though.

Look at our relegation squad - Robertson, Heffernan, Nelson, Craig, Maybury, Cairney and Tudor-Jones. We’ve got history of signing players from bottom six teams and even then most were out of contract. We’re doing same now but have descended to lower English league players.

Hearts had a Japanese player on loan from Man City, we’ve got Doidge from Forest Green on the bench.

We’re cheap.

None of these players or the management have come cheap. Makes things even worse

Most of them were out of contract. In fact 2 of them were almost on the football scrapyard. Vela being the prime example of that.

Forgot to mention, we missed out on Ojo due to penny pinching as well did we not?

The Management was cheap though thats why we never got Appleton (first choice apparently) cause he wanted a decent severance package or possibly others were offered/wanted but decided against the job as the package was not enough to tempt them.

Hibs have always put the balance book before the playing budget and Rod was slaughtered for it on here all the time.... so why are the same principles still in place ??

Looking back the managerial appointment should have had alarm bells ringing loud and clear. The few who actually knew a bit about him and his previous sides didnt fancy him and pretty much predicted what has happened. He is a complete and utter dudd similar to Cathro at Hearts

No, Ojo was not penny pinching.

We've had enough also. Trying so hard to get the laddie into Hibs. This utter pish getting served up isn't helping in the slightest.

What was it? It was on when we thought he had a release clause. Then when he didn’t we backed off because we didn’t want to spend money. Then Aberdeen showed an interest and we put bid in. If we were determined to get him surely we wouldn’t have backed off the way we did? My conclusion is club wanted to save money.

What i dont get with the whole ojo thing is that when that deal fell through we didnt sign a similar type of player. All the more strange when you watch the team and its clear as day thats where we are lacking

Even if we don't spend as much as we think we should be spending. We still outspend teams in the league that have their way with us time and time again.

He has been injury prone. Don't know how many starts he had elsewhere, but that may have been a factor.

That doesn’t make sense though. We wouldn’t have put a bid in if we didn’t want him. We lost out to Aberdeen. Aberdeen will finish near top of league again while we’ll be bottom six.

Football operations at club needs serious review. It goes above even that though. We were suppose to be building succession planning and having stability when managers leave, that’s gone now.

Maybe we bid low, as we weren't prepared to gamble on his fitness? Aberdeen appear to have more money which they can afford to take a punt with.

Sooner or later they are going to have to build a new stadium. At the moment they don't have to worry about that expense.

This is Hibs the team that let Gordon Smith cause they thought he was too old! Only 2 league titles outside the 9ld form left in him!
