Probably pay to improve things rather than donating money. Pay for the indoor pitch, improve the speakers, paint job, screens in the corners etc should Hibs want them.

Don’t think I’d get involved in providing funding to the playing side though.

1. Bring in a top level recruitment team and drastically expand our scouting network.
2. Sign the best young talent in Scotland at present to give us a kick start (Turnbull, Scott, J Kerr, L Ferguson etc.)
4. Pay off the rest of the catering contract and bring catering in house or a new supplier
5. Fill the corners with 2 x seating to increase capacity and 2 x Large screens
6. Lure back Sauzee to work for the club in an ambassadorial role
7. Probably the most important, set about finding the best possible coaching team, leaving no stone unturned and not limiting the club to candidates who "ken the scottish game"

Would rather invest in Hibs and make sure we pump them every time we face them. Like celtic done to rangers a few years ago with 5-1 5-0 5-1 ect but do it over a decade. Properly finish them off. Every derby people say they are due a pumping from us and the only time during a game i genuinely thought it would happen was when shinnie put us 3-0 up with half an hour to go

One Day Soon
17-09-2019, 09:10 AM
1. Fill in the corner between the East and the Famous Five
2. Enclose the other three corners with TV/Ad screens
3. Endow a Hibernian youth development fund
4. Create a player cost annuity fund. A fund specifically there to top-up in those Leigh Griffiths £150k moments.
5. State of the art PA/Sound system installation.
6. Install mechanised removable pitch to allow stadium use throughout season for gigs, shows etc.

That should knock out a good chunk of it.

Pony up for the indoor pitch to be built and let the club focus on football rather than bricks and mortar.

Beyond that not a lot. Certainly no ongoing investment. Hibs are a business and there are far more worthy causes to give money to that would do far more good for the world. Let's be honest you'd get little thanks for it from the fanbase anyway.

Imagine sitting at the press conference in full Hibs trakkie as the Yams new owner announcing Leveins new 10 year contract!

I'd fund the salary of a new management team and commit to that for the next 10 years, build a top class training academy and leave it at that, the club should be developing young talent. It would all be dependant on Ron's involvement.

some good ideas here...fill in corners, better PA system.....improved catering....empty current management/recruitment team, and splash out on proven winners to get the club into Europe every season, to win the league and cups (in general smash the old firm regularly and make hearts an irrelevance).

Get the best youth set up and a lick of paint around the place, would be a decent starter for 10.
Whilst travel and a serious improvement on lifestyle would be the "norm" I'd insist on a private box with decent scran and a seat on the team bus for away games.
Oh yeah........

I'd give a big handful of it to grassroots initiatives like Helping Hands, nurturing a football culture and social impact culture in the city.

I wouldn't chuck any of it the way of Hibs directly and would hate to own the club, given the ingrates and chunts on here who'd give you a hard time, even though you'd put your hands in your pockets.

Maybe ask the club the price of a life season ticket for me plus three.

How much would it cost to win the league?

Accepting this as a ballpark - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46358084

A 25 player first team squad - £22M a year. Assume you could get some out of contract but you're going to have to spend, say, £50M on transfer fees. They're going to want 3 year contracts, signing on fees and you'd need a few million to bung at the coaching staff.

Not sure the £152M would cover it tbh. :dunno:

Absolutely. Donation of £Xmillion for the club to do as they wish, but I get to register as a player, train for a few months and then get 45 minutes in a meaningless end of season game (after we've won the league) That and season tickets for life would be my 2 requests.

I’d set a limit of £10.00 million for Hibs.

Centre stand season tickets for me and my mates for life, fund One off infrastructure projects/ upgrade of facilities and keep as low a profile as possible. No ambition to become part of the social media coconut shy.

Would probably have a contingency to bail us out the next time our finances head south.

Apart from that I’d make sure my family were all financially secure for life and buy a wee place in Italy. Would keep working at least part time and donate lots of money to charity. Probably would try to keep it as low key as possible as I think people’s attitude to you would change.

I had said that the other day about donating to charity. Once your were done buying bits of property (which still have a value in themselves so the money isn’t “gone” as such) and seeing people right I think I’d struggle to blast more than a couple of million. And even then I’d have to try to do it.

Yeah fair enough. With only £127m to get by on, your wife would be really struggling.

As I said above, most people have zero conception of really large amounts of money. It would be far better for 150 people to win £1m each than one person win £150m, unless they could actually do some good with the money.

If we won that money and my wife turned to me and said, oh im taking £25m and im putting into something you have no interest in and we won't get it a penny of it back.
