Does anyone else contribute to YouGov?
I've been a member for a few years and have earned a few bob from giving my opinion on everything from TV programmes to Brexit, but I never get asked about Scottish Independence, possibly because I live in England.
Is anyone else on here a member, and are you questioned about Indy?

I'm still a member but get about 2 surveys a month if I'm lucky these days.
Yes, Independence regularly crops up along with the old chestnuts of "which one of these organisations would you be EMBARRASSED to work for". I've been doing these surveys for about 10 years and I can't believe they're still asking dumb questions like that.

I remember signing up when I was under 18 to that in the hope of making some quick cash. They don't survey people under 18 though!
I'm sure I tried to make it to the threshold with referrals only but can't remember if I managed.

Yes. Not great.
Depends how easily you can incorporate it into your life I think. I joined a similar site last year and just filled one in whenever I remembered while walking to/from work. I'd have been doing nothing but walking otherwise so it didn't impede my day - can't remember how much I got but it didn't take too long to get an Amazon voucher out of it.

Made my first £50 just before going on holiday last year. Was so chuffed. Took me ages to get there (circa 2 years).
Easy way to make some money, and keeps me off Facebook.

I do YouGov. I can’t actually remember that many questions about Indy, definitely more about Brexit I think.
I also do PopulusLive and I’ve had a better rate of return from them but...they are massively frustrating in that you get roped in for ten or fifteen questions and the last few are to establish your demographic and they then often say they have enough replies from your category. The suspicion is that they are getting useful data in the first several questions but not rewarding you for it.
But, as I said, I have had more money from them than YouGov, despite signing up to YouGov a fair while before.

I still do the YouGov surveys, although i find most of them pretty poor. Only reason i carry on is i'm determined to get that £50 :greengrin

Thought I would dig up this thread as I just redeemed my £50 for YouGov. I looked though my history and found that my first survey was 3 March 2014.

I'm trying to get my 2nd £50. I think the rate of surveys slows as you get close.

It does seem to fluctuate but I noticed an upsurge since pandemic, because there seemed a desire to get more info. PopulisLive have been particularly active but as posted before, they have an annoying habit of sometimes filtering you out ten minutes in, whereas YouGov take your responses regardless.

It’s great getting the £50.
Hours sat on the bog filling them in. Think I got my first one in 2018. Miles off the second one. TBF I’ve stopped filling them in for a while.
