Whitaker has to be dropped. Lack of pace is being exploited by all teams. Hanlon lost it just now and out to. Middleton has been ineffectual and Mallan a waste of space for months with no goals. Vela adds some bite to midfield.

Id think about playing Murray over Horgan too if fit.

Id worry that allan and mallan wouldnt get up to or beyond flo and he would end up pretty isolated. Maybe Murray for Mallan in your line up? He seems like he likes to get into the box.

Not one of those line ups does it for me... we cannot persist with 1 striker.... Slivka had a mare on Saturday.... and Mallan was anonymous apart from a free kick early in the game. Mallan also needs to get torn a new one for his pathetic attempts at running with the opposition or whimpering out of tackles. Don’t get me wrong I think he has talent, but until he finds some grit then opposing midfielders just pass him by.

It is concerning that we simply don’t know what kind of team we can put out. I am wary about rushing Porto back too... if he’s fully fit then great but if not keep Jackson in there.

Good point, I’ve not been overly impressed with him. He doesn’t seem to have the pace he did at The Rangers. I remember seeing him cause problems in a few games but he just doesn’t look the same player. Maybe down to the quality of teammates.

He seems isolated an awful lot with us.

Not sure how much of that is down to anything he is doing, anything the rest of our players are doing or managerial instructions.

I must admit I like him, I want to see much more of the crossing that set up Flo's goal against St.J.

Newell hasn’t showed anything, but he has been played left wing. From clips that I saw of him he looks more dangerous in a central role. I think he deserves a chance at least.

We struggle down Ayrshire at the best of times, it’s far too weak and then the Derby. Pretty on paper though.

Yup, this is similar to my preference and makes sense to let Kamberi drop into a number 10 role along side Allan, our 2 most creative players could dance around most defences, with Doidge pulling the CBs around the make space, and overlapping wing backs stretching the opposing full backs.
