I’d be amazed if we hadn’t already had conversations with his potential replacements.

It’s a no-lose situation for any of them.

It wouldn't surprise me.

There's a few comments suggesting that LD or the club won't act.
While I know where they're coming from I seriously doubt they'll have a choice.

I don't see us beating Killie and, ***** as the yams and Levein are, that prick will have them
up for beating a Hibs side that right now are an easy mark.

Lose against Hearts and there's fans round the back of the stand calling for his head.

What frustrates the crap out of me is that he clearly saw last week that the midfield was getting overun.
Then he fields the same formation this week. He obviously thinks he's right and no amount of losses are
going to convince him otherwise.

It's just a question of when he's fired now.

The whole thing has been off from the start. Quite clearly not our first choice. Leanne's interview after his appointment confirmed that (for what it's worth, what else was she supposed to say?)

He's just not right for us. Wish him all the success in the future cause he seems like an honest guy.

The Americans can be notoriously cutthroat. Lets hope Ron is or we are @gdown:

After the St Johnstone draw, I was in the camp willing to give Hecky more time i.e. the first round of league fixtures, because I felt he deserved the opportunity to make progress, plus I felt it was too early in the season to be sacking a manager. However, like everyone else, I'm seriously concerned now, and the club has a dilemma, as giving him the first eleven leagues may see us close to the bottom of the league. Of course, it could go the other way and we could improve, so the board has a big decision to make: stick or twist.

The number and manner of goals we are conceding is terrible: we can't defend. His signings look very poor, and most have long term contracts. Get rid of Hecky and we are still stuck with his players. The formation he plays leaves us wide open, whilst we don't have the quality going forward to compensate for defensive weakness. It's a mess.

Hecky's appointment left many underwhelmed, and it was a case of "don't know of him but will give him a chance". Of course there was also the issue of whether he was the man the club really wanted. He started well, but the form didn't last long, and we are now in a really bad way.

Is there light at the end of the tunnel? I can't see it.
Is it too early to sack a manager in a new season? Yes, it probably is, but I don't know whether Hecky knows how to change this.

If the board give him more time at this point, I can fully understand why; but, if he goes, I will be relieved. It's an awful situation so early into a manager's tenure. We seem to have gone backwards quickly.

Transition of an ageing squad and a new management teams strategy, which will take time to implement as it’s a significant ask. I can’t comment on your claim regarding external distraction as I have no idea on its veracity, but I trust that by raising this you have creditable and reliable source info on that?

Is that David Brent?

He has no influence at all at Wolves, what a bizarre comment.

He gets paid a wage just to sit doing nothing then?

Really scary thing is the length of contracts these new players are on - not one single signing has added quality, quite the reverse. Sad days when despite both first choice right backs out there’s no development player to take advantage - that’s what worries me most. Whittaker gets slaughtered nowadays up against pace - can’t fault his effort as he always gives 100% but he’s gone as a top level player in this league. Marciano needs to stop reading the papers about potential moves and concentrate more on his game too - don’t think I’ve seen a guy kick into the stand under no pressure as much. Great keeper who’s letting his standards slip.

Gets paid to help out with coaching he joined after they were doing well. Nuno and his main assistants will have all the influence. Only there because he is an ok coach and worked with Nuno previously. I was responding to the comment that he was successful at Wolves.

He is successful at wolves though. He’s first team coach at a English premier league club. They work part of a team and not just helps out with the coaching.

He must be influencing some part of the club (Wolves) as they continue to do well.

Not saying it’s all about him but he’s probably enjoying his football more than both the current Edinburgh managers.

No doubt he is enjoying his job as all pressure off and he will be in his comfort zone.

Only as caretaker at Barnsley, look at the Wiki page again that you posted and tell me he was successful once he took the job permanently lost 37 games, drew 23 and won 23, win% of 27.71. At Leeds it's won 4, drew 4 and lost 8, win% of 25, that's not success.

I think that says he's good with other peoples players, but shouldn't be allowed anywhere near signing players he wants.

I've heard that players are doing things on GTA they never thought possible, and that they are very happy with the free passes for their local Vue cinema

Or just someone who loved Lennon more than Hibs and couldn’t get over the loss of him, I seem to recall.

Yeah that was a favourite of quite a few!

I’m hoping Celtic get papped out of Europe, sack Lennon and then we bring him home 😜

It's already abundantly clear that he will stay on until the Hearts game and will be out if we lose. A draw will get him a few more games, a win will see him safe for a while.

The result of the Kilmarnock game won't matter.

They have been unhappy with that manager for two years at least. I'm not saying that we should be happy with ours, but I don't think we are at the stage of such drastic measures yet.

Suppose it would be the equivalent to us doing the same jf, say, Riordan was in charge.

Could be strange match where the winners are the losers.

At HT and 2-0 down, Duffy was 100% sacked at the PBS. Then unlikely 2nd half comeback kept him in the job and he went on to confirm what we all knew and got us relegated.

they don't need protests to make them look like idiots, they manage that just fine turning up to watch the hoof ball....

and budge thinks she is gonna be kept on as honorary chairmonster............won't be a shock if the fan takeover gets delayed another year or two as some infrastructure or fantasy project appears that needs that foundation of farts money.

Actually think we could see Hecky being away very soon. I just cannot see Ron watching this shambles too much longer. Taking a guess, 70% of Hibs fans want rid of Hecky. Ron must be close to stamping his image on the club.

I was being conservative. All Hibs fans I’ve talked to want him gone. I guess 70% are probably at the point of being adamant that he has to go. Some are wanting him out but are willing to give him a small chance to recover.

Will Levein remove himself from role of head coach and replace him with himself in a caretaker role until he finds a replacement for himself?

Some managerial appointments work out, some are an absolute disaster. I feel that Heckingbottom's appointment is proving to have been a big mistake.

That, allied to signings that are clearly nowhere near good enough to play at this level, means he has to go. Those in charge of recruitment at the club need to have questions asked of them too.

Good post :top marks

He’s put a lot of money on the line for Hibs and he’s not got any loyalty to Heckers, he’s surely got to have concerns just now.
