If so, and you're looking to split petrol money, PM me. (Trains aren't looking too great on that Sunday.) Cheers.

There’s a few going up on the train, but they’ve had to get to either Wigan or Preston. There’s a student from Liverpool who is having to get a coach to Manchester at a stupid time in the morning to catch the 0759 from Piccadilly to Preston.

Cheers. Aye, the Manchester route is what I'm looking at at the moment as well (not great), unless I can find someone driving up or find a way to get to Wigan by 8.21.

There’s a national express from Liverpool to Preston but it’s 610am and a 2 hour wait in Preston. Bit of an early start but there’s a Spoons open a 8am to soften the blow

How much would petrol cost compared to the train?

If you can get to Wigan then get a train from there, its £33.50 going to Edinburgh at 08:21 change at Bolton, arriving in Edinburgh at 11:53.

Coming back its £12 from Edinburgh to Wigan leaving at 19:42 changing at Carlisle arriving Wigan at 22:52.

Thanks. That's the train I'm looking at, but it's getting to Wigan that's the problem.
