Those of you who follow Spanish football will be aware that Luis Enrique quit his job as Spains manager due to personal reasons. Unfortunately it has been confirmed that his 9 year old daughter has lost her battle with cancer and has passed away. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. RIP little one.

Just read this a moment ago. I can't even imagine what he's going through. Very sad indeed

There is very little one can say in such situations. A terrible tragedy.

As a father to a similarly aged girl, it’s hard to find the words for such an awful situation. It’s just unimaginable.

Hearing about a child passing away, in any circumstances, is something I always struggle to comprehend. It's just wrong.

There really are no words. RIP.

Very sorry to hear this. Terrible news for his family.

Luis Enrique is one of my favourite ever players. A joy to watch.

A great footballer who I had the privilege to see whilst living in Barcelona. A well liked boss, too. Deepest condolences from all the Hibernian family.
