View Full Version : Prince Andrew in deep deep doo doo

Prince Andrew is being accused of allegedly having sex with a women who was under the legal age of sexual consent in the state she’s from in America.
Now obviously he’s innocent until proven guilty but you have to ask why a member of our monarchy was rubbing shoulders with the likes of Jeff Epstein, a convicted pedophile.
This will bring major embarrassment to not only our establishment but The Queen herself. Now I’m no lover of the monarchy but I have great respect for the queen.
It’ll be very interesting to see how this all plays out. Will Andrew be made to go to America and answer these allegations and maybe potentially be arrested or will it be swept under the carpet??

Aye, but even though the guy was already a convicted peadophile, Andrew never saw any of that going on, so how was he supposed to know that he wasn't a good guy?
Absolute shambles that he was allowed to kill himself/was killed in his cell (delete as you feel appropriate) especially given his links to the high and mighty of the US political scene and more broadly.

PRINCE Andrew is facing questions about his luxurious lifestyle after his staggering £57million fortune was revealed.
Norman Baker, a former Lib Dem MP, is demanding answers as to how the Duke of York was able to rake in huge sums of cash to build an astonishing private wealth which makes him the third richest royal.

I don't want to defend him, he's proven himself to be a complete dickhead over and over again, but there's no way that he'll remember having every photo that's ever been taken of him, be that in public, private or using a zoom lens from 500m away whilst he was on holiday. From the day he was born there must be literally millions of photos of him, taken with and without his permission or knowledge.
I've had my photo taken with a few Hibs players over the years, most of them would have no recollection of these photos being taken or who the guy is with them in the photo if they were shown them. Christ, I constantly see photos of me on social media or at home and have trouble remembering when, where and by whom the photo was taken.
Like I say. I'm not defending him or denying he was in the company of this girl and there's lots of other damning evidence that he's dodgy as ****, but his statement regarding his recollection of the photo being taken is plausible.

Almost certainly bungs for acting as go between on a load of arms and other trade deals with Saudi Arabia and F knows what other despotic regimes we like to call our 'friends'
As for his current 'predicament' .... I dont think his alleged indiscretions take him into the sphere of paedophilia when he comes from a country where 16 is the legal age of consent ... but it certainly does take him into the sphere of statutory rapist as far as the US is concerned I would imagine, if the girls accusation is true.
Mr Epstein's extremely convenient demise probably means the whole thing wont go anywhere in the end, at least in a criminal law sense ... Did 'they' kill him? Maybe not, but if he was suicidal you have to wonder just how hard the powers that be were trying to keep him alive, not very by the look of it.

Jumping in here, M59, sorry. I've a lot of time for your "third way" take on things ( :-) ), but I think you are giving the royals too easy a ride here. I've not seen it, won't watch it, and won't read a word about it. The Firm is the most protected and - more to the point - powerful institution in this country. Not one bit of doorstepping since the story arose. Oh,no. Left alone while they formulated their approach. For weeks. Then the state broadcaster gets an interview at Firm HQ????

He said that because of a medical condition at the time of the alleged meetings with this girl he "couldn't sweat" so her account of him sweating profusely while dancing with her had to be a lie, proving he wasn't there, or at least if he was he didn't have physical contact with her.
The condition he says he now no longer has sounds like Anhidrosis .... the severest form of the condition can prevent you from sweating at all which can be life threatening in hot weather ... so the last place you would want to go on holiday is a Caribbean island or New York in late summer, it should also be noted that at the time ( 2001 ) Prince Andrew was 'working' as a UK trade ambassador which almost certainly involved trips to some of the hottest parts of the world .. a strange choice of occupation for someone with the severest form of that condition.
But ... in less severe forms of Anhidrosis where it only affects parts of the body the parts which do sweat can do so to excess. It would be interesting to see what the extent of 'his royal highness's' Anhidrosis was, if it was this form then far from refuting the girls account it could actually give it more credence.
They say the best lies are ones that contain an element of truth ... as a result the question isn't did he have the condition, the very pertinent question is how severe was it? I wouldn't be surprised if his medical records are on the way to a furnace as I type :greengrin

To be fair, one is much more unusual for a member of the royal family than the other.
The stupidest answer in the whole thing was the nonsense about a mystery medical condition. If you are going to throw that into the ring, at least give it a name.

I tend to disagree, there are fanatics still obsessed by the McCanns, and that involves a much less public figure.
I can guarantee that the internet will be full of pictures of him sweating today, as well as comments from professionals and amateurs pointing out contradictions and embedded confessions.

The part where the BBC were interviewing him, rather than the authorities.
You are shifting away from your original assertion here that the BBC were letting him off the hook with last night's interview.
The American authorities should be pushing harder for him to co-operate but you can't blame the BBC for that. If anything last nights interview increases the pressure on him to talk to them.

"It was almost a mental health issue." The day the mad card jumped the shark.

I'm not so sure my comments could be read as giving the Royals an easy time here. I agree with you about the workings of the 'firm' and their PR machine. It's ruthless. . That's what makes last nights interview so interesting, they got this one spectacularly wrong. Emily Maitlis did a decent job of exposing him last night, I don't think that anybody who has watched it would disagree.

Maitlis was superb. The only thing she missed was when Nonce Andy was saying that the photo must be fake because it’s been taken upstairs in Epstein’s house, and he’s never been upstairs. “How do you know what the upstairs looks like then pal?”
Absolutely tremendous viewing last night. The arrogance of the man to think he could just bare faced lie his way through a forensic 45 minute interview with one of the best the BBC can offer. Car crash telly.

😂 I made the point that one of the world's most photographed men might not actually recall every one of those photos whilst making it clear I think he's dodgy.
Please tell me you didn't pick up on that the Tommy Robinson jibe was satire :faf:
Trump was a friend of Epstein and is every bit as despicable. Here's a quote from Donald from a few years back:
“I’ve known Jeff for 15*years. Terrific guy,” the now president, told*New York*magazine in 2002. “He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it – Jeffrey enjoys his social life.”
That's the thing with satire, there has to be a perception of truth to make it work.

If anyone would like an insight into class and titled privilege needs to listen to the segment of James O’Brien’s show on LBC from 11-45 to 12-00 today. Absolutely bonkers contributions.
Just listened to this.
Incredible really.
One person phoned to say:
There are certain circumstances you can be friends with paedophiles .
Another.
This is a witch hunt against PA and antisemiticism against epstein.
Another:
‘Is it fair that we are dissing the whole royal family for it?’
‘No one is dissing the whole family. You don’t think the royal family would be improved by getting rid of a member who hangs around with paedophiles?’
‘No’
Our country has interesting folk.
James O’Brien then went on to say if it were a muslim taxi driver there would in no way be people coming on to defend him

The Duke's relationship with the Rowlands is likely to come under scrutiny following the claims, which come amid increasing questions about the source of his wealth. He has been friends with David Rowland, a former scrap metal dealer, since at least 2005, when he unveiled a bronze statue of the financier in the grounds of Havilland Hall, his estate in Guernsey. Mr Rowland was invited to Balmoral in 2010, when he reportedly met the Queen and had tea with the Prince of Wales. Four months later, he is said to have paid £40,000 to help clear the Duchess of York's debts.
the shameless b*****D didn't even pay of his ex's debts himself, she herself of course after the divorce was flogging the chance to meet her ex for contributions to her piggy bank

So we should restrict potential justice for the victims of a sex offender unless we get something back in return?

The UK has demanded that. Are you suggesting PA shouldn't go to be interviewed until she comes back to face trial?

There's no question of him being deported. There's an agreement in place that he would answer their question in a British court - and as a witness. They're not accusing him of anything.

Yep, you've all caught me out. I'm a Royalist apologist and don't believe that sex offenders should be brought to justice. I also believe that, yes, two wrong do indeed make a right.
It obviously had absolutely nothing to do with the fact that US could possibly demand the extradition of someone from the UK, while hypocritically denying justice to the family of that poor kid from England

The Windors are a very "unlucky" family as this is yet another occasion where they are associated with paedophiles.
Jimmy Saville of course was an open guest at numerous private royal functions for many years and "Lord" Mountbatton was accused of many offenses concerning under age minors.
Andrew Windsor and the Epstein's is just another unfortunate situation to be negotiated and it will be.
England and many powerful USA figures cannot allow anything else.

She'll "commit suicide" soon no doubt. She's too much of a risk. If she was to open her mouth and blab there would be a LOT of very rich and powerful people who would be in a lot of ****.
She's an evil woman, her crimes and deceitfulness beggar belief and absolutely deserves a very very hefty time behind bars but there is no doubt she's taken the hit for a lot of powerful men.
The only way justice will ever be properly done is if she releases the list of her male "clients". As i say though, these men have too much money and too much power unfortunately.
