Sat behind a car of 4 young guys at the lights at saughton / balgreen school and while they were having a sing song the front passenger lobs a bottle of Budweiser out the window into the grass verge.
So if you were that drunk guy in the silver Corsa SB55 CUY then do us all a favour and try to make the not so monumental effort of keeping your rubbish for a bin eh?
If there is any politician out there who wants to introduce a programme of prisoners on litter picking duties as opposed to sitting on their arse all day then they have my vote.

Does my head in.
Drove behind 2 ****bags in a Porsche who lobbed a bag out(probably McDs or similar) on the western approach, not young guys either.
My 12yo daughter who was on a kayaking trip with an adventure club along the union canal suggested they done a litter pick along the way, they got 6 full bin bags worth.

The worst ones for laziness are them that sit in car park eating their crap meals then open the car door and drop the wrappers, usually a few yards from a litter bin.

I went on holiday to Japan last year and the place was spotless. There's no rubbish, but weirdly, there's not many bins. Folk take their rubbish home with them.
We have plenty bins but there's a minority that are too lazy to use them. Definitely a culture thing

Lazy, manky *******s.
I know the costs are probably prohibitive but I'd either fine anyone caught littering a fixed sum or make them give up a day to collect litter.
Since Porty high school was built the ****ing tramps seem to think my street and garden is a bucket as they make their way back from Asda, not done yet and unsure if it will make a difference but Im gonna send an email to the school head and if that doesn't make a difference then Im gonna collect all the litter and dump it in the school ****ing playground 🤬

I'm going to wager that your email won't bring an end to your problem.

I live at the other end of the city but it's no different. The seagulls actually follow the crowd of kids as they go from Tesco back to school, during the holidays the gulls are proper confused (& starving).

Not something I do every day but, on occasion, when that's happened near my home I've picked the litter up, opened the car door and thrown it back in. Offenders tend to be a bit startled.

It's a big problem amongst the Hibs support judging by the amount of litter blowing about the pitch in the second half yesterday.

Yep. Even walking up hawkhill there were beer cans and bottles and all sorts of other crap lying around. It's so disheartening to see.

Littering is a pet hate of mine.
It's the most needless and totally avoidable thing.
I really respect the nations of the Far East who have set out their stall not to tolerate it and have a bit of pride in their surroundings.

There needs to be a zero tolerance approach to littering. No turning the other way, no wee slap on the wrist. An instant £500 fine and 100 hours of community service picking up litter would soon clean things up.

They have them here too but the tend to go about on foot. They're going to struggle to grab someone throwing **** out a car doing 50mph to give them a ticket

I would lynch litterers.
As soon as McDonalds opened at Eskbank their bags and chip holders befoul local streets and blow into our garden.

It’s such a senseless crime.
There’s a bakers in the village and a car was parked outside mine, the occupants went round to the bakers, bought lunch, ate it in the car, opened the doors and emptied not just their lunch, but magazines, fag packets and numerous other bits of **** on the road outside my house.
Bunch of ****s.
