Might as well as they virtually don’t have anything worth paying for. Apparently struggling for subscribers hence why they couldn’t afford to keep La Liga, Serie A & Eredivisie. Also they had won the rights for the UFC but then that fell through and BT retained them.

You sure? It says that the World Series of Darts is on tomorrow on ITV4.

Anyway the Tiny Superstars are on at the same time. Maybe you got Hertz and Barca mixed up.

Looks like 1 match a week and a weekly highlight show.

About time as well. 11sports [emoji23] hard pass on that one.

When La Liga went to Eleven Sport it effectively allowed Sky to see how much it was really worth. Bottom line was that Sky subscriber base was not effected by not having La Liga, so whilst it is a nice addition to offer customers, from a commercial standpoint it is not worth bidding big money for. Sky pretty much already knew that this was the case and also knew that Elevens business model was "back of a fag packet" stuff.
The problem La Liga has now is that it is massively devalued in the UK/ Ireland and will never see another serious bidding war between Sky and rival company such as BT or Amazon. Meanwhile the league loses the decent exposure it had through Sky, which upsets advertisers, sponsors ect.
Sky played a blinder and hold all the cards here. Fans lose out, but what's new.

I packed in sky when they lost la liga. It is only the UK where the rights haven't been picked up which is odd considering it is vastly superior to the epl. Hopefully itv can get more live games.

Sid Lowe the Spanish football correspondent said no tv rights agreed for the UK but negotiations still on going but won’t be sorted for this weekend. Also said there has been bids but knocked back as LaLiga don’t think they’re of enough value

The results from the Champions League and the Europa suggest otherwise.

La Liga has three or four top class clubs but not much quality below.

If we look at one season in isolation maybe and ignore the coefficient and the past 20 years. As someone who watches both the exact same could be said of epl. I know Real Betis, Villarreal, Eibar, Espanyol are no worse than Norwich, Brighton, Burnley and Everton.

For me the epl has two teams that can win it much like the spl and la liga (ironically the worst offender in the past) this season has three.

Spanish clubs have completely dominated both those tournaments for the last 15 years. As for your other point, thats just not true, not even close.

ITV have clearly done some sort of deal as Bilbao v Barcelona is on ITV4 live tonight. Looks like it might be a temporary deal for a game on each of the first 3 weekends so far.

The darts is delayed transmission and now starts at 1745 and then continues after the Barca game.

Lol, you can't be serious. Have you seen some of the cross in the EPL.
