£1m and Billy Dodds for Robbie Winters by Mogadon Miller when he was Dons manager. Winters was at Dundee Utd. I missed it as I was in Oz and was absolutely staggered by it when I found out on my return.

Neil McCann allowing Scott Bain and Scott Allan to leave Dundee in the same window and getting Simon Murray to seal the deals was a strange bit of business. Murray was a decent enough player but going in a huff with the best keeper at the club played a huge part in costing McCann his job.

Yeah, McCann is a grade A fanny. There's standing your ground against a player, there's also pushing your team towards relegation because you can't turn a situation around.

For Celtic, Scott Allan for Hendo and McGeouch and cash is a howler considering we got Allan back on a free.

Two players with tremendous pedigrees sold, two lesser players brought in to replace them. This was at the end of Harry Swans ownership, probably recouping some funds before handing over the reigns to Bill Harrower.

Fyfe and Scott for Iain Munro and Bobby Hutchison for Shades are the obvious stand outs as the poorest swap deals known to Hibs in my time. What possessed Eddie Turnbull to do this?

Then Duffy was injured before playing for us so he was "replaced" by Valdas Trakys.

He was meant to play alongside Alan Gordon, ET had tried to sign Gordon for Aberdeen to partner him with Harper, it was Jim O'Rourke who he was signed to replace, when we think of the number of games played during that period there was surely a need for all three. We recently have been putting Hibs not great performances in the league cup down to pre-season games, some of the best performances I've seen Hibs produce has been in the Dryborough cup and group sections of the league cup.

Incidentally, in Harper's last game for Hibs in 1976, he scored five goals in a reserve outing before going on and scoring a barrel load for Aberdeen during the next five seasons, while Hibs top scorer over that period was a midfield player and in three of those five season's our top marksman scored 8 goals.
