Hi,

I'm having to drive through to the game on Sunday (normally go on supporters bus but missed out). Can anyone suggest where I can park avoiding the Hun hoards?

If you go along Broomloan Road past the car wash place there is a car park there where teh coaches and cars of Hibs fans park. It usually fills pretty quickly though.

There is a dedicated car park for us right opposite our entrance.

Good question. I spoke with Hibs this week and I’m expecting a similar arrangement with Rangers to the last three games, TBC at a pre-ops meeting and communicated by Hibs via their communications.

Those previous details were:

“Travel/Stadium Entry

The stadium address is Ibrox Stadium, 150 Edminston Drive, Ibrox, Glasgow, G51 2XD.

The Hibernian support will be in the Govan West corner of the ground and barriers outside the entrance to this area will create an exclusive zone for our supporters attending the game.

Hibernian supporters travelling to the match are advised that parking is available in the Broomloan Road car park, free of charge. Supporters are asked to park as close to Broomloan Road as possible in the car park.

Supporters not travelling by bus or car are asked to approach the stadium via Broomloan Road.

From there, supporters will cross the road towards the turnstiles in the area reserved exclusively for Hibernian supporters. We encourage our supporters to arrive at the ground as early as possible.

There are no plans for fans to be held back following the conclusion of the game. However, in the event of a holdback, there will be usage of the toilet facilities.

At the end of the game all the away supporters will be taken across to the Broomloan Road car park and released all together to the motorway.

Broomloan Road will be a sterile area. Rangers supporters will not have access to it at the end of the game.”

I would get there no later than around 1.30pm or you'll struggle to get in.

KP, while you're here. This was my view that last time I was at Ibrox. Can anything be done about the stewards and police blocking the view? Stewards that were in front of the Rangers fans were seated on stools but this lot seemed to be doing all they could to get in the way.

I used to always advise parking on the street rather than the away fans carpark. Not any more. Firstly, it’s now free. More importantly the police have actually got their act together and give us a police escort to the motorway now rather than leaving us to our devises after holding us back until most home fans are already on the road. Last game, I parked on the street and it took much longer to get away than those in the car park and the police, for some unknown reason, held us back from walking down the road to where we were all parked.

Yep. I can get that flagged.

Edit - got that done now. I’ll clock that myself but let me know if I miss anything at the weekend for us.
