I've always wondered this as well. I wouldn't like to know the percentage breakdown because I think it would show we pick up a lot of youngsters from Hearts. Hopefully this is still a historical thing that'll gradually decrease. I don't know but I don't think Hearts get many youngsters from us so its definitely not just a proximity thing.

Yeah i guessed it ones they don't offer a full time contract to or a fee would be involved. Wonder what Hibs see in them that they don't or is it that they just take on more young boys and then have to let some go at a certain age? Just wondering why it is. We got the other young defender from Hearts who got on against Newcastle and he seems to be highly rated.

Probably the same reason as youth coaches didn’t fancy Hickey at left back for Celtic and Rangers released that wee laddie that had the game of his life for hearts against Celtic at about 10 I suppose. It’s not good they seem to be getting the pick of the east coast though and have close ties with the sfa.

Is that a performance school? I didn’t know there was an official tie in with beoughton for hibs like they have Balerno. That’s a bit more reassuring then.
