Just the kind of thread we need

Ignoring the hyperbole of the OP why does Horgan seem to tire so quickly? Does he have a history of injury? It was a common theme last season and again today; often very good for 60 minutes then looks dead on his feet and regularly subbed.

If anyone’s passing needs questioning it’s Adam Jackson’s, but I think we could just lay off it this evening anyhow.

He runs himself into the ground for the 70 mins he’s on the pitch tbf. If he took his foot off the gas a bit to last the full 90 he might not be as effective

Think those adjectives apply more towards your post than Horgan passing. Just got off to a winning start in the league and immediately it’s ignore the positives and let’s criticise one of our best players. Can’t expect a Scottish Premiership winger to have 100% passing accuracy.

Give it a rest mate, what a shan thread to start after us starting our league campaign off with a win and a clean sheet.

Does he know how to manage his energy levels over 90 minutes? Seems to run his socks off then hit a wall.

What seat are you in so I can watch the game from your perspective? He was absolutely dreadful again today. He’s had ONE game in a year where he’s stood out for 90 mins and that was at tynie. He’s brutal 9 games out of 10.

You posted this in the Hibernian v St Mirren thread as well. Strangely, after Horgan had already left the pitch. :D Which makes me wonder - was it really Horgan who made that horrific, horrible, and horrendous pass that triggered this? :D

Horgan has many fine attributes and I like him.

But passing isn’t his strongest asset.

Mallan on the other hand can be an exquisite long to medium range passer, but he can not take a man on.

Most likely player to create something and then gets hooked. I don’t get it:crazy::crazy::crazy:

Horgan's often been one of our better players. Just had a bad day today.

Horgan wasn’t magnificent today, nobody was, but he never hid.

Hibs TV 28th April 2019, the match versus Hearts (currently on page 5), 11 mins 7 seconds into the pre-match build up. Cliff Pike says that statistically Horgan covers more kilometres per game than any other Hibs player. That's his 65-70 minutes compared to everyone else's 90. As far as I’m concerned that puts to bed the question mark over Horgan’s fitness, if anything it begs the question why are none of the other players even covering as much ground in 90 minutes as he does busting a gut for the cause in 65-70 minutes.

Would be good if we could see heat maps, presumably they're not done for the Scottish Premiership players as I don't think I've ever seen one.

Cheers. That's an interesting listen.

Glad you found it interesting. I knew Cliff had said it sometime near the end of last season but it took me about 45 mins to find it.

He puts in some wicked crosses. Wasn’t it him who whipped it in leading to the disallowed goal?
