Anyone on here still playing? If so, how are you getting on?

(fully aware I'll be getting pelters here 😂)

Lasted about a month, it kept dragging my battery down too much!

Currently trying out walking dead, our world :-)

My friends son who is 29 plays it obsessively. Even went to chicago for a convention last year. Hate going anywhere with them as it turns into him playing the game. Weird

Try geocaching instead, you can actually find 'treasures' rather than virtual creatures.

As I write this I'm sitting outside at Wetherspoons Omni, my brother has nipped away to pick up some sort of special pokemon around the corner.

He's 36

I'm 32 tbf.

Different strokes for different folks. Gets me out walking when I usually wouldn't.

My brother plays it, he's 38, goes all over trying to find Pokemon. Few other friends do too.

I played it for a bit. It was quite a fun game.

The best part was how raging some folk got though. I remember when it 1st came out people were raving away like it was encouraging people to commit murder.

My uncle Jim was a funny sort. He'd spend hours/days away out and about collecting train numbers. His enthusiasm for trainspotting bordered on nauseating because every conversation would eventually turn to trains and he became a bit of a joke within the family. Turns out the joke was on us as it turned out he wasn't interested in trains in the slightest, he just used the trainspotting as a cover for several extramarital affairs he was having all around the country. Just saying like :greengrin

I got into trying the Wizards Unite game (a Harry Potter game based on the same idea) but I'm not enough of a fan of the lore to have kept it up. I like that these games encourage people to get out and about, but I find them damned repetitive after a point (same reason I can't stomach playing FIFA, or any sports based game really).
