Absolutely horrific. Reffed Aberdeen game at end of the season.

How do refs as bad as this get top level games? Another of the long line of weegie refs. No doubt they have a genetic advantage regarding referee ability.

It makes no difference, they are all totally incompetent.

Scotland must have some of the worst officials in Europe.

Have missed calling the ref ********s.

Lets hope they enforce the new laws correctly. Particularly the one where subs can go off to the nearest point of the park they are at rather than the old slow paced walk from one end of the park to the dug outs, taking shinguards off along the way.

One of the new rules must be if the ball hits the ref it then gets given back to the team who played it last. Noticed it happened on Tuesday and particularly the Newcastle players looked puzzled when the game was stopped.

Lets hope your understanding of the actual rules is better than your interpretation of the above. New rule states leaving pitch at nearest point is discretionary and to be honest in the SPFL it will not mean any change in the interest of player safety...imagine a Hibs or Celtic player having to leave the pitch in front of the Broomloan Stand and the ensuing carnage.

The leaving the pitch at the nearest point rule is down to the discretion of the referee to avoid a player having to leave the pitch in front of a baying "popular" support of the opposition fan.

Dont think there should be any different rules for different teams though we know that will be the case. More likely to be issues if a Hibs player or any opposition player went off at Tynecastle given how small the space is to the stand.

Yes but its hibs st.mirren tomorrow. Not rangers hibs or rangers celtic. If theyre taking the **** coming off the referee should be instructing them to leave at the nearest point. That is the rule.

This is not different rules for different teams...it is the same rule being implemented sensibly. Guaranteed all subs in SPFL will be as per current practise. Remember refs add 30 seconds for each sub anyway so the time wasting falacy doesnt hold as much water as some folk think.

If it is the same rule being implemented for certain teams only it is diffeent rules for different teams. Not sure they do add 30 seconds on to be honest seems a bit random some refs seem to add more time on while others stick at say 2mins.

Your guarentees arent very good. Happened twice yesterday when a st.mirren player went off and had to walk around past the east and south stand and happened again with Horgan
