Media reaction would be interesting. Do the Yanks get as hung up as us about setting a good example to kids?

Had to laugh when the commentators described it as a real donnybrook, hadn't heard that term for many a year.

I don't follow baseball at all but this is a great breakdown video of the fight:

They were really enjoying it as well. Imagine our commentators if that ever happened at the fitba. It would be non stop outrage for weeks.

That was hilarious. I was genuinely laughing out loud at the 'Crick hump' bit two thirds in. And then he stands behind a crowd of about fifty teammates shouting abuse at the crazy Reds player! I'm sure we've all seen similar pavement dancing antics around Scottish football stadia in our time :greengrin

The hump thing is absolutely hilarious.

If this kind of keystone cops stuff could be guaranteed every week at premier league games I think attendances would go through the roof.

It reminded me a bit of that rammy we had with Morton. Instead of being all raging and wanting Hibs to batter them, I remember creasing myself as the only thing I could make out in the ruck of bodies was Jim Duffy's big baldy heid bouncing around in the middle of it all.

Great entertainment.

It's nothing new for baseball. Clear the Dugouts is a frequent cry although I must say that one was pretty good.
I think the authorities see it as a way of letting off steam. You don't hear nonsense about role models etc for days on end. And there's seldom crowd trouble at the ball games despite the beer flowing in the bleachers.
Different strokes.
