I think it’s the former. He comes out with so many stupid statements it’s pretty clear he’s winging it most of the time. What is pretty clear is that he’s not as stupid as many people think, he knows what buttons to press and when to press them. What he says is providing comedy for us, but his overall message will see him re-elected with an increased majority. He knows he doesn’t have to be on point all the time as long as his make America great again message is winning over voters in a country that’s fiercely patriotic.
Boris will follow the same path here.
