Are we really like those rednecks over in Gorgie? Let's enjoy this without making fools of ourselves.

I’m not getting into any of the rational behind bans from countries to America but I don’t think it’s just because they are majority Muslim countries. There’s other ethnicities in they countries too. Trumps scared of terrorists, why shouldn’t he be?For a start, the 'intellectual', financial and logistical backers of terrorism come from a minority sect whose foundation is in Saudi. Whose citizens are not included. Ordinary Muslims are the victims of his travel ban, not terrorists. One can't punish everyone for the actions of a tiny minority. German politicians have correctly identified Salafism as the root cause of terrorism and there have been calls to crackdown on it there, something I support. Trump actively promotes his Saudi friends, literally let's them away with murder and given the attacks in Europe, Isis in ME, and warcrimes in Yemen, I'd say he's actually an enabler of terrorism, rather than an opponent, due to his strong support for the Saudi royals.

I realise I'm rather heated about this. The man just makes my blood boil, it's not you, please don't take offence, we all have a right to differing views, I believe he's a danger to world peace and his brutal disaster capitalism outlook, especially with the migrants who are being treated like dirt in the internment camps in Texas is heartbreaking. He's also a serial sex offender. One measure of a human is how they treat women, right?

It's not something I'm concerned about over our new owner, he comes across as very decent, but say we were like Sheffield Utd, who have Saudi millions backing them, I'd take a hiatus from supporting Hibs. I recognise Gordon's work with minorities and community in US and I'm confident he'll get our foundation from Irish refugees, as a positive.

I wasn't the poster comparing our humble new owner with that moron. To an ear not used to the nuances of American accents he does sound like Trump - with a bit of something Hispanic thrown in. Quick Google also shows he's a former member of the Republican National Committee, ran a Hispanic Republican conference and was appointed to a commission under Reagan. We'll just have to watch out for him making the players wear Red Hats as they go up to accept the Scottish Cup next time. :greengrin best place for US politics is possibly America though.
