Miller and carter on frederick street?? Wildfire on rose street. Both very good, advisable to book both but Wildfire will definitely need a booking.

there are now a number of top quality steak places in Edinburgh

My personal favourites in own are Kyloe and Hawksmoor...

There is a place called Steak at Picardy Place which is handy for you (not been but gets decent reviews)

The others mentioned above are good too

I've not heard great reviews about their other places though.

Blackwoods bar & grill at the Nira Caledonia have a josper grill (as have most decent steak houses) and the food there is top notch.
You used to always pick up deals/dining for 2 vouchers on Groupon.

Been to both Blackwoods and Shebeen, both were excellent. I know the owner of Shebeen through his other business so have been told the whole process from meat bred especially for them to their own processing factory and then to table, a great business.

The steak in Gaucho was amazing, as good as I've tasted. Shame about the "fries" though.

Probably not as fancy as the rest mentioned on here, but Los Argentinos in Newington represents great value for money.

I'll second that one. Went last week for the first time and great quality steaks
