Anti semitic pop at Spurs on twitter.
I’ll post when I can
He’ll be back in the Labour party soon enough

Went on to have a look. Seems he still has me blocked for my comments 5 years ago. :smug:

Interesting to see the two threads at the top of this subsection are titled "George Galloway" and "Morrissey".
Maybe we should have a separate forum where we can discuss weapons-grade ********s?
Because in spite of having shown many redeeming features over the years, that is what both of these gentlemen are.

Congratulations to the great people of #Liverpool to the memory of the socialist miner #BillShankley to the fallen #96 to those who fought for justice for them and to the Liverpool dockers. No #Israel flags on the Cup!
I suppose it's just tired clickbait.
Liverpool response is quite good:
Please don't include Liverpool Football Club in this b******t.
It's the club of Ronnie Rosenthal and Avi Cohen. It's the club of Mo Salah and Sadio Mane. It's the club of Parson Jackson and Bill Shankly (with no e). It's a club of all flags, all religions, all nations and none.

galloway is a repugnant piece of ****, always has been, how ironic him titling his now disbanded wee political party 'Respect'

On Monday, the radio station said it had terminated his weekly show.
Mr Galloway hit back at his former employer, tweeting: "See you in Court guys."
no doubt see him on one of those reality shows soon, before re-joining the labour party

Shameful stuff from him. The 'no Israeli flag on the cup' patter, in relation to Spurs, is horrific. Disgraced himself almost as much as in the Big Brother house, when he wore that lycra leotard and did an impression of a cat. Not the full shilling. I'm much more sympathetic to the Palestinian cause than to Israel's position, but racism/sectarianism is inexcusable.
I had a sneaking admiration for him around the time of the Iraq War and his appearance before that US committee, but these days he comes across as a total crank.

Agreed. I caught part of his 'Just Say Naw' show which he toured during the referendum campaign in 2014 and during which he came across as sharp and funny, as well as bringing some genuine sparkle and edge to the No campaign. However, this latest guff is just desperate and sad.

He was a total prick then as well. It was all about George Galloway, always has been with him.

Absolute prick and I'm glad he no longer has a major say in politics. How he still had a voice in the media is beyond me.

You and George are both right. Being anti Israel isn't antisemitic but why mention the flag in the first place? Answer, to cause a ****storm and get the attention he needs to keep his brand ticking over. Good day at the office for George.

He's one of those guys I used to have a grudging admiration for. He always came across as arrogant, he shouted people down and he appeared absolutely single minded but he fought his corner and seemed to have a level of integrity.
These days he just seems like another boring troll out to shock. There was no need for, or real context to, his Israeli flag comment. It was said to get a reaction and give Galloway a platform and to that end it worked but it's dropping to the gutter to get attention. If Hearts had won the SC and someone had said 'no tricolour on our cup' he would have been all over it calling it out as sectarianism so he can have no complaints when he gets the same treatment in return. Not that he has any reason to complain; he was the centre of attention for a short while and for GG that's what matter.
