View Full Version : Reasons for the Jambos to look on the bright side

In a spirit of magnanimity, and out of concern for our poor wee downtrodden neighbours, I've decided to come up with some reasons for them to feel a bit better about yesterday.

1) They might not have managed to sell all the tickets for a Cup Final, but they did manage more than the 46 they sold the last time they played Celtc in Glasgow.

2) OK, they had to call off their parade but, by all accounts, Celtc's victory parade was a disaster as well.

3) Celtc won the game by a very dubious penalty, but at least this incident was actually inside the box.

4) Craig Levein still has absolutely zero winners medals in 30+ years as a player and manager, but surely that is some kind of record which, if he keeps it going a little longer, could possibly mean an entry in the Guinness Book Of Records, so worth applauding... in a way.

5) No evidence has yet arisen that any Hearts Fan arranged a bus to the final, took all the money from fellow Hearts fans, then p1ssed off with said money and left them all stranded...this time.

6) No Lithuanian Pensioners or Charity collections were ripped off in the making of this glorious occasion.

I encourage my fellow Hibs Fans to rise above petty rivalries and join me in providing them with some other reasons to be cheerful.

I think we should do all we can to publicise Levein’s losing streak.

They are desperate to be Famous, so imagine how happy they will be if people across the world associate Hearts with bottling it?

Yep, the League and Cup double deserves to be recognised for the incredible achievement that is was.

Are they not holding a "We tried really hard and almost won" parade?

They can take comfort from knowing that FoH payments, Budge & anonymous donations, they will have the budget to secure another 6th place next season.

They are first placed losers in the cup this year.

They have a 20 million seat megastand.

We only have exits, they have vomitariums.

They've got Craig Levein for another 12 months at least.

We really should applaud their quest in trying to reach 100 plus years to win the league cup also.

Some real positives for our yam friends, here are another two:-

1. Ann Fudge is more convinced than ever that Craig (she is very fond of him) is the right man to manage The Famous. Hearts fans should feel happy that his special brand of football will be taking place at Tynecastle for another couple of years at least.

2. The introduction of a new “kick into touch” tactic is getting rave reviews across social media. Liverpool and Spurs are considering this for up coming champions league final and the All blacks have planned a visit to Hearts training sessions for next season given the quality of execution.

Win win.

On the back of yesterday's battling performance against a **** Celtic team the Jambos seem willing to keep CL as manager.

And then Celtic go and give Lenny the job permanently.

By winning the cup they have a European adventure to look forward to.....oh wait!!

Is Levein’s losing record the same as our “since 1902”?

What goes around comes around Hearts losers.

They successfully avoided a European campaign which would have cost them Cochrane and Hickey as soon as Barcelona and Manchester City noticed their ability.

They managed to rest their top earners Martin and Vanecek for the final so it means they’ll be fresh and ready to go next season.

I think all the self congratulatory pats on the back today are probably a result of it only being 2-1 yesterday, they all probably feared a pumping as Celtic steamrollered them on their way to another treble.
It's all very large collective sigh of relief.

There are now seven weeks without football, which they'll be able to claim is the longest they've gone unbeaten all year.

Ann Budge says Craig Levein is not bombproof. So if things are going bad (ie worse than just now), he will be sacked and she will bring in a fresh, young face. Remember the last young coach she appointed? That went well.....

Not sure she appointment him

She’s not bomb proof either. How much over budget was she on the new stand

1. Their victory parade did not impact on the marathon
2. They contained Celtic reserves for over 50 minutes
3. If Naismith was playing the would’ve won

They could switch to rugby union successfully, given their tactic of deliberately kicking the ball into touch near their opponents corner flag, from the second half kick off

Dunno about them looking on the bright side but I'm loving the 'Stiff upper-lip' approach they've adopted, many of them declaring that Potter actually got a good display from their heroes - if they keep it up they're gonna spraff/slaver Levein into an extension on his contract now that's the bright-side for us !!

They can frame their final ticket and put it next to their framed Dens Park ticket from 1986.

They are thick. They're all cheerful about Levein again because they weren't humiliated in the final forgetting about the relegation form since September. Some of them think they'll be challenging for 2nd next season. Remember when they all wore Russian hats when Romanov was killing them. Weirdos.

Not selling out half a stadium for a cup final is just embarrassing. Even when we just escaped relegation in 2012 and just lost a promotion playoff in 2016 we sold out easily.
