Aren't the holidays meant for rampaging? If it's good enough for the Sevco players in Spain it's good enough for us. Mind you, I am going golfing and the pool is open so maybe you're right.....

My first Hibs versus an English team as well.

I'm sure we played them at start of season in 1968 & 1969.

Delighted with that! Followed Newcastle since I was a teenager, I don't get down to as many games at SJP as I'd like so will be great to see them at ER

ISTR that the match I attended finished 0-0.

Yes 0-0 I recall. Iam McFaul was in goals for Newcastle.

Good news. Biggest club we’ve had up for a few years.

Interested to see what the rest of the dev team’s fixtures are. They have had regular forays into the Borders against the likes of Coldstream, Selkirk, Hawick Royal Albert and Gala Fairydean Rovers, over recent years.

I’m on the Quayside. Hefty ten minute walk for me unfortunately!

Shame it’s not at St James’ but it’s a great fixture regardless.

I’m on holiday so miss the first 3 friendlies. Barcodes game should be good but as others have said, would be better if it was in Newcastle.

I would have fancied going to both Arbroath and Carlisle, if they were weekend matches.

Limited time to plan due to the league cup I suppose. But sure there'll be plenty opportunity for a weird and wonderful away day in the group stages!

Get the pricing right for this and there will be a decent crowd for this game v Newcastle. £10 and £5 please.

A Tuesday night game in the middle off summer. Fans will need to be tempted along to this. Good pricing is a start.

4000 for a friendly would be impressive even for a club as big as them. If they bring a strong team we will have our work cut out to keep the score down in all honesty .. still, better games like that than a stroll against some lower league cannon fodder.

Given the league cup draw, we need a game that will test the players properly before the start of the league season.
