Attacked in Ibiza (bottled)

Apparently he wasn't bottled, got hooked and banged his head.
It was one of his group that apparently threw a bottle

Within two posts about the vague reporting of the incident on Follow Follow, they were asking for action by the club or revenge by their own fans against ‘the Celtic fan’ who did it. This is followed by diatribes of persecution of their club by all and sundry. We even get a mention here and there. No suggestion that the earlier apparent sighting of Dorrans and a legless Ryan Jack might have been the protagonists in a random brawl.

The Club could publicly condemn it and highlight the increasing attacks on our players.

When opposition fans can attack our players on the pitch without significant recourse then it’s little surprise it happens in public life.

It’s a result of demonizing a club and its support.

You never hear of Hibs players being attacked. Or Hearts, Aberdeen or the filth. Only Rangers players. We have been set up as fair game by the tarrier media with their endless demonisation of us and bigoted politicians who despise anything remotely Unionist in this country.

Quite ironic that 2 years ago a hun threw Cummings in the pool did he not?

I know football players should be able to go anywhere they want etc etc but if you're on that kind of money and can afford to go anywhere in the world, why choose a place that is a hotbed of coked up chav wannabe celebs?

lol

Totally what I thought

I hope he's ok but it's not acceptable for someone to attack him (bottle or not) because of his employer and he doesn't seem the sort to go along with the majority of rangers fan bigotry - unlike Andy Halliday

And therein lies the problem.
They are a FOOTBALL club (allegedly) NOT a political party or other political organisation (allegedly).

Won't be as problem catching the baddy here, Alan Preston and Andy Walker will have witnessed the whole thing. Every Sevconian player will have been thrashed to within an inch of their lives, even the ones that weren't there.

There' not much sympathy on here for Dorrans which I find disappointing. Regardless of the circumstances, what have we come to when a professional football player MAY have been targeted for the crime of playing for a club which someone else disliked.

It's pathetic.

Totally agree if he is innocent and has been targeted on that basis

It's pathetic. If Dorrans is an innocent victim of an assault then he deserves the sympathy all such victims get.

It hasn't taking Sevconians long to start painting it as an attack on their club, and no doubt their traditions (which we all know are entirely tolerant, non violent and all about peace and brotherly love).

Last October I travelled up to Glasgow by train & sat opposite Graeme Dorrans. He's a really nice guy, we had a good chat. He had just been operated on in London, was wearing a brace & had to sit with his leg out into the aisle. He hoped to be back this season but thought it was doubtful. A few days later Sevco reported it looked like GD would need an op & he could be out until January!! That's how truthful our media/Sevco are. I have every sympathy for anyone who's attacked but it would be good to know the whole story before anyone rushes to judgement.

It's not really possible to comment without knowing the full story - a full story that will never really be told.

If he's entirely innocent and this was an attack motivated by who he plays for then that is disgraceful. I know some people who know him well and he's meant to be a decent lad, not the type to go looking for trouble.

That said, if he's been acting up then sometimes bad things happen to you when you do that.

I speak as someone who has taken a shoeing on foreign soil for acting like a prick.

I thought the same. If I earned £30k a week for 10 years or so and currently played for one of the OF I’d be going nowhere near Ibiza for a holiday.

Having seen the video of Jack being escorted away from a pool party barely able to walk sometime earlier in the day it would be a recovery of Lazarus proportions if he was out chucking bottles that night. He was ****ed.

I feel sorry for the guy, if he's an innocent party who has been attacked, but the response of the mentally ill who support that club is entirely predictable, as they conflate all kinds of issues whilst having no facts. They will use anything to stir up hatred.

:agree:

He he was absolutely spangled. But if others in any group involved in the fracas were drinking like he obviously had been then it’s not too big a leap to guess alcohol would have been a large factor in any incident.

The faux outrage by huns all over social media is laughable. Pushing Cummings into a pool on holiday was just a laugh, singing about the Catholics and the Lisbon Lions being dead is just banter, Kent punching Brown only showed how "staunch" Kent was etc. But nobody messes with a bear 😂. Nobody should be the victim of an unprovoked attack if thats what it was.
