The one I have is exactly the same as the one I had as a kid. Did you get yours from these guys?

It is from them. I am surprised it is the same. As I said 100% polyester.

That’s better quality than the original then. The replica shirts back then were 50% cardboard :greengrin

I got one of the Umbro ones. Like all these retro strips they’re pretty heavy compared to the original, but it’s all about how it looks and Aztec make a decent job of recreating tops we would never be able to buy again new.

Still got my original although the logo is all cracked and peeling - thought I better keep it since it was my leaving outfit at my wedding 30 years ago - not sure if I've been forgiven yet.

The original also has 4 diagonal (pin stripe but quite noticeable) lines running across the sponsors' logo (top right to bottom left). The pic above of the new replica appears to have missed that entirely.

Funnily enough I’ve still got the original as well. I’ve got loads of tops from that era, some in better condition than others. In those days we didn’t change top every year so you tended to keep and wear it for longer. Obviously that meant the shirts ended up in a worse condition than a modern shirt. I was looking at my old shirts the other day. I’ve got the purple shirts from the 90s and the green and purple striped one as well as all the home strips from that time. One day I’ll get them all framed.:greengrin

Hoping it's a mistake cause I was hoping for the Frank Graham one with the slope badge instead

Which strip is available tonight? Not entirely convinced the quality will stand up to actual modern tops but for the sheer look of it I’m hoping the Frank Graham ones are available.
