The competition is a total waste of time for the U.K., I really can’t understand we they enter, it has to be the biggest farce of a competition ever.

Never saw that at the time. I wonder how that sits with the irony that the competition was held in Israel with Australia taking part?

Israel I can kind of get given they are “European” for certain sports due to political reasons but why do Australia have anything to do with it? I thought their entrance a few years ago was meant to be a one-off?

Down to their "European" ancestry and the fact they used to broadcast it on tv for decades although not actually participating, I guess :confused: - bit like the "Champions League" being full of teams who are not actually champions ... I only ever watch the bit at the end where the points are awarded, never listen to the song section - Austria never gives Germany any points, even when "we" win with a decent song ... ​

I know now what it's like for the Mrs when she has to watch the football against her will. The whole shebang has turned into a celebration of non heterosexual sexuality. Now before you go calling me homo, trans or other phobe I'm anything but, however the whole spectacle just isn't my cup of tea.
