Rarely any problems with EE in FF upper. Half time is always bad because everyone is on their phones I guess but otherwise perfect.

My O2 4G signal in the East stand is patchy, it's very difficult to get on at half time. I often turn my 4G off and use 3G instead and that usually works although it's obviously slower.

This usually works for me too. The problem it's the middle of the week before I remember I've done it :faf:

EE is good, but the problem is the numbers of folk trying to use their phones.

O2 not too bad in the East for me, apart from ht obviously.

Connection is fine on Vodafone, it's just that there's 10000 people trying to use the same tower at the same time. It's the same in any place with a big crowd

Should up tickets and seasons by a fraction and get wireless on the go alternatively make it a pay for market. Club could make a few ££ through advertising like at Edinburgh Airport.

Crap where I sit in the West too. Okay for calls but not data. I use a 3mobile data device that lets me follow the comments on radio, sky or btsport. Works very well

Really needs to improve. The bog awful Match Updates threads would benefit enormously with the input of folk who had actually gone to the game.

EE in FFU is patch at best. Hard to get a signal at HT when presumably everyone is online.

Nothing to do with the the signal it’s all to do with capacity.

I used to revert to 3G when the 4G was poor but I've noticed over the last few games that the 3G seems to have been turned off (with O2), maybe to free up some of the RF spectrum???

Vodafone is perfect upper tier in the West - can stream sky sports video and watch a more interesting match with no buffering!

You should be watching the match (however tedious) instead of flirty texting yer wife's best friend.

Hardly ever get a 4G signal in the West Upper.

Almost impossible to get a signal when I'm at Man City games as well, especially televised games. When I was at Palace away a few weeks ago you couldn't get a 4G signal within about a mile of the ground and thats in London!

I pay a little extra for 4G+ which is not publicized much. My company pay for it and it might be nature of my work that gives me priority always when network is busy. It’s kind of like being James Bond without the car....

Getting 5G next week as part of testing and trial Programme (threadstone).

Vodafone was dreadful in the east until this season, when it has markedly improved. Not sure if less demand, improved service, or a bit of both.

I get 4g+ and don't pay any extra. It's just true 4G with extra bandwidth, not really a secret service 007 thing 😉.

5g could be fantastic but is going to leave us all ope and exposed to all sorts. The Five Eyes will have us in their mucky paws.

Yeah I was recently reading that one of the main benefits of 5G will be it's performance in situations where there are large crowds. Looks like it will be the answer once it gets rolled out.

Increased Bandwidth for All Users "Many people have memories of 3G technology as they watched the progress bar load their web pages. On 5G, this will be a worry of the past. This means that people won’t feel like they are fighting for data with all of the other users when they enter crowded spaces such as sports arenas and airports"

Wonder if any teams already do or have plans to offer Wifi in stadium, either here or England. Seen me signing onto free wifi at basketball in the US (and on the street in NYC). I guess maybe because NBA stadiums are often at big venues which take on concerts/other sports etc, as opposed to just being the team itself running wifi!

Radical suggestion but why not try actually watching the football than sitting on Twitter, or filming the game for snapchat?

Nope, you can sit on your hands at half time and check your coupon when you get home.

I generally get a good signal during the match in the back of the FF Upper with EE..

It often 'dies' at half time suggesting that it's a bandwidth issue.

At the Etihad in Manchester, there is wi-fi throughout the stadium.
