Could be - leaves very little in the way of width though.

I expect we will go a 442 against this lot.

Marciano

Gray McGregor Hanlon Stevenson

Murray Mallan Milligan Omeonga

Flo McNulty

Killie will most likely go for the same shape and the size pitch will suit going a bit more direct and playing off them.

Murray and Omeonga will tuck in without the ball and make it tight.

Really looking forward to seeing Murray play.

Was never a penalty. As for the rest of the game though we've been poor. Constantly misplacing passes and wasting the ball.

The linking and movement of the midfield is yet again non existent, results in us playing it across the back 4 much more than we should. Nearly been caught out a few times as a result.

When you say it's not hindering Kili, they're hardly playing good football? The pitch is a leveller, both teams have been poor giving possession away and good moves have been few and far between because the ball gets stuck every time it's played on the deck.

It means absolutely nothing to us against a good killi team this is unsurprising and couldn’t care less tbh the season is done, first game all season I’ve not followed for 90mins.

I like Mcnulty but it depends how we plan to play him next season. If we’re going with one up top with wingers playing off him then I wouldn’t want us pushing the boat out for him.

If he’s getting used this way to get us through to the end of the season but plan to play him in a front two next season then we’re not going to get any better.

We've been a bit lacklustre for a few weeks now. Hearts, Rangers and now Killie. I suppose the effects of a long, hard season and not having much to play for the last couple of weeks (I know in theory last week wasn't meaningless but it was a massive long shot) has played it's part.

I'm looking forward to the summer and a few weeks off now. Next week is just one to get through. It's not been the season anyone wanted or expected and had it not been for the Lennon saga it would be filed under instantly forgettable. It will be interesting to see what business we do in the summer and when.

We’re solid enough at the back, performance wasn’t great but done well against a team with plenty to play for, first two thirds IMO are fine, but we’re a Scott Allan short of a good team in the final third, no creativity to play the key pass 20/30 yards out, prime example when Murray nicked it in injury time and we went sideways. I look forward to seeing what we do in the summer as if you take out the two loans who started today then you’ve got a good solid base 11 with Slivka and Boyle coming in for them. Big summer but an exciting one to come, hoping a good crowd and win to send us off next weekend

They won with a penalty that never was but they were the only team trying to win. Until the subs there was a clear lack of effort from far too many players. It might have been a meaningless game but those who have bought a ticket will rightly feel let down.

What's the point of going next week if that's all the players can muster?

Hoping for a good transfer window cause minus one or two players we recruited poorly since the championship and are definitely not getting our money's worth.

Hecky has done very well after taking over from the shambles Lennon left behind him. This was a nothing game for Hibs, difficult to get players playing to their full potential against a team with everything to play for. Hecky also commented that it was a difficult week after having conversations with players about their futures, presumably those who are getting moved on have now been made aware.

I think he could have done things to make us less toothless today. Wingers on the bench with midfield players out wide for instance. Same at Ibrox last week.

I’m not being overly critical as I think he’s done well to get us where we are. With the exception of the Celtic game, which was a good point, it’s been disappointing post split. The only player to score for us has been Christophe Berra.

Never a pen. Both managers said it, all the pundits on the radio said it, we all saw it... However, Killie were much the sharper side and far stronger in the middle of the park. Of course, they had something to play for and we didn't.
I'm glad Murray got 90 minutes but I'm not sure the starting line up was the right one. Murray might have been better deployed supporting either McNulty or Kamberi. Playing all three left us overpowered by Dicker, Mulumbu & Power.
It sounds like Hecky was none too pleased, so let's hope they are a more fired up next week and can close the season at home with a good display. I'll take a 4-3 win.

It's not really

Our record against top 6 teams has been terrible

The post I replied to was clearly having a pop at Hecky. He has won 1, drawn 4 and lost 2 against top six teams. Yet to play Aberdeen. That's ok not terrible, considering the guy hasn't had a transfer window yet.

Glad Murray got full game, I also expected a few fringe players, maybe Mackie etc, to be involved. Strong starting 11

I was merely stating facts

How is that negative ?

How is your repeated claim that Rangers will win the league going? :faf:

Hecky's the man! It's the end of the season. Give him some dosh and let him get some more talent in.

You'll need to elaborate on that as nobody has a clue what you're on about!

It will be straight out of the coaching manual. Plebs such as us could never hope to understand.

Finishing 5th from where we were is good going for me

But the football on the whole this season has been crap. A wet pump of a season.
