I am coming up for the Aberdeen game next week and staying for the weekend, I will be staying at the premier Inn on the waterfront and have missed a proper white pudding supper, I have googled Newhaven chip shops and only one comes up.

Can anyone help? Is the annfield still open?

You'll be right next door to that new place that opened - it is meant to be top notch. Sorry I can't remember it's name but it is in the block that used to have Harry Ramsden's in it.

Fantastic chippy. Haven't been in for years, glad to hear it's still going!

Thanks for replies, the jubilee seems a little out of my walking distance so will try the dolphin fish and chip shop for my white pudding suppers.

Fishmarket as has been said.

Recently moved into a flat that faces straight onto the back of it so I’ve been one or two dozen times :greengrin

Fishmarket does gluten-free without hiking the price which my wife appreciates. Both for sit-in and takeaway which most similar places don't do

Gold Sea just up on Ferry Road isn't too much of a trek or The Dolphin on North Junction Street
