No ****ing way. Surely??

One thing to do it at CP, another on their home turf.

Would we be content to give a title winning Hearts (I know, I know but bear with me) a guard of honour at Easter Road? Like, honestly ??

Hopefully not. Happy to some fall out from it but in all honesty it should be something reserved for your first home game after winning the league and that's it.

Should it not just be your first game, regardless of home or away?

I think that's the intention but hasn't there been teams in recent times that get one at home after they've already had one away? Genuine question.

Not a chance in Hun Hell that lot will show respect to the league champions. They are a despicable, detestable bunch who play the victim perfectly, who profess to not caring about others hating them while getting outraged at the same time.

And the Huns are just as bad

Did Hearts not want them for every remaining game of the season when they won the Championship?

Didn't they want them since september this season?

That seems to be the standard no? Don't think we gave one to either Hearts or Rangers in the championship

Did they not win the league that year with about 10 games still to play?

Did they not win the league that year with about 10 games still to play?Yup.. More or less, and they seemed to want the 'honour' for every game so they could get it at ER also... I seem to remember them doing a bit of moon howling when it didn't happen!

Edit... Didn't help that the other teams seemed to capitulate and go against the norm and give them one in the lead up to our game.

I'm sure it's been done but someone please please tweet that back to Tavs.

Did Hearts not want them for every remaining game of the season when they won the Championship? That's my point. Do it for the first home game after you win it then be done with it. Can still celebrate at the next few home games if you win it early doors but I don't see a need for it every game.

It's been done. There's also a funny quote from the time where a Rangers fan says we can give them a guard of honour when they go to pick up their Scottish Cup winners medals. 😆

Could the respective players not just hold hands coming down the tunnel and all the fans be issued with free half and half scarves to mark the occasion?

Course they won't. They didn't do it back in 2017 when Celtic had already won the league so why start now? Difference is you want see the 'lack of respect' nonsense in the media if it was Hibs that had to do it!

I suspect I’m in a minority on this, but I think the champions should be given a guard of honour at their next fixture, regardless of venue.

If we had to give Hearts one at ER, we’d just have to suck it up.

The media make a big deal of it when it suits them

It’s against the agenda to criticise the rangers

Any other club would be called out for not honouring the champions

Yup. This'll get brushed under the carpet and no one in the media will have a word to say.
