Apparently the juve one is to try and improve shirt sales in America. Nobody buys the black and white stripes over there because it looks too much like a referees top.

That is actually true. Juve have toured the US extensively for the last few pre seasons, as all the top global clubs have and they've done their market research.
Basically to Americans, Juve just look like a team of refs and who wants to buy a refs top?
Napoli actually outsell Juve in the US so I presume the two Milan clubs and Roma do also.
Mind you a lot of the Italian Americans based in the Philly/New Jersey/New York area would have roots in Sicily and the south so Napoli, Roma and Lazio are always going to be popular.

I just love a pink football strip though. The recent Juventus away kit, the Man Utd away kit, the Palermo Puma kits from 3 or 4 years ago and the Juventus away kit of a few years back with the black star across the body are all superb kits imo. I've always quite liked the Scotland pink away kits as well, The much maligned salmon kit from the late 90s/early 00s is a misunderstood classic.

I liked the salmon pink Scotland top. It’s also synonymous with Don Hutchison scoring the winner away to Germany in a friendly 😀

Agreed. Some kits should be sacrosanct and the Barca broad stripes falls into that category. They’ve had hoops, thin stripes, a horizontal mash of red and blue merging into each other in recent years. Would love to see them going back to their more traditional look.

I don't think the Aberdeen kit is that bad to be honest.

If it was green with white sleeves and collar it would look like a modernised version of our 1990/91 kit and 90% of people on here would be creaming themselves over it......me included probably.

Obviously, the problem arises when you release that same kit with minor changes for 6, 7, 8 years

I have yet to see a macron shirt for any club that I think is nice or fit for football. they look like rugby league shirts. I fully expect to see one I like eventually but so far I'm not impressed. the issue with this year's kit was someone actually saw it and said yes that will do.

Athletic Bilbao are my first picks after Hibs. No connection to them whatsoever, but you can’t help but admire a team who only plays guys from within a local radius who are able to hold their own in the top flight of Spain.

Their policy has its critics, but wouldn’t it be cool if Hibs were represented only by folk from, for example, Edinburgh.

So the woman's team starts their season in the 2018/19 kit, then has to wear a 'community' kit post the mens season until whenever the club resolves sponsorship issues and then once that's concluded finish their season in the 2019/20 kit.

By the way if we are hanging around waiting to see if Marathon Bet would like to continue their sponsorship then we should tell them to bolt.

I fear we will yet again be lagging way behind most if not all of the sides in the league in launching the kit and getting it out to the public (and that extra revenue boost for signing players)

All the younger teams in the Community part of Hibs are now wearing this tartan kit - bar the Ladies Team who wear the official Hibernian Kit. Most the girls groups had to wait a few months after the boys groups to get their new kit though.

The home kit is as close to free reign as you can get in kit manufacture even down to the collars and cuffs. Anything thats been mocked up recently could be produced if Hibs wanted it.
