We'll be enabling SLL (https) for periods over the next few days and testing how the website functions (or more precisely, breaks).
http will work and be redirected to https, so nothing to change from your perspective.

if you encounter any errors or problems that aren't normal, please list them here.

Was about to post asking when you were going to implement this, great news!

Cheers - it confirms its not just my desktop playing up :greengrin
we're getting there (i hope)

No changes were made since 9 this morning, so not sure what happened with the style sheets. Disabled a server extension which seems to have helped.

It breaks. Appreciate the effort you're putting in, but in the middle of a game?

Front page appears normal atm, which it didn't earlier, but clicking the new post tab gets you the new post, not the thread in any normal fashion... also the post i made in this thread a few mins ago has disappeared... soz, it hasn't. It's in a box with expanding thread above

Give us a shout when you've finished testing. I'll be using my mobile to access for now as the desktop site is pretty much unusable

As above, changes were done this morning. We’ve been around long enough to know not to plan changes during the match.

OK bud. During use this afternoon, the site has acted in different ways at different times. In this thread, posts are out of sequence on my phone. Games over now so not fussed. Good luck with the upgrade. I'm aware of the weird s*** that can happen when you start messing with code.

Soz again... Posts are not out of sequence, just the way I'm reading the thread

Are you on the mobile skin or the normal desktop one? Have you tried clearing the Cache?
It went weird just after half time, but clearing the server cache shortly after seemed to fix it.

I'll give that a try when I get home bud. Normal skin on desktop, mobile skin on phone

No difference after clearing cache. This is a screenshot of this thread

Just used Firefox, and it's fine... seems to be a Chrome problem

Edit... Monday night

Working on IE as well... Still rooked on Chrome

Extra Edit

Just discovered that 'Display' tab at the top was set to 'Hybrid' mode... I feel such a fool!

Grovelling apologies.

mibbie just a glitch in caching but noticed that when I tried to use my cached password on my MacBook it complained about a wrong URL - forget the exact wording forgot to get screenshot. But thought Id mention just in case. The solution was to resign in and update password. No problem. Makes sense if there's some redirections going on underneath the bonnet.

Invalid redirect url?

Its always been confused when signing into hibs.net instead of www.hibs.net although it should accept the login if you click on forums, if the message appears.
Billy Whiz has a great screenshot of the mobile skin in here: https://www.hibs.net/showthread.php?336611-Mobile-version-of-site&p=5770615&viewfull=1#post5770615
Its a different skin, but the same message.

Are you still carrying out the testing ???

The layout of the page forums has suddenly got whack - things dotted around all over the place and differences in fonts. Absolutely fine when you click on a thread though.

Haven't changed anything since we applied https on Sunday morning.
Is it similar to the screenshots above?

Strange behaviour report

Minor, but annoying. The 'Mark this forum read' in the Forum Tools dropdown isn't registering clicks. Normally I'd click and the box would go away, and the bolded new posts would have dimmed down, but nothing's happening. I can open a thread, and comment, but when I 'Go back to Forum', the thread will still not register as 'Read'. Same in both Chrome and Firefox

Edit

... and of course, having just posted, it's behaving normally again :greengrin

... Don't mind me. I'm just an attention seeker

Many thanks to those responsible for keeping the site going.

I-spy seems to be broken, and has been on the last couple of matchdays. Currently it's about 25 minutes behind, (with Chrome on a Mac).

Ive had i-spy running since you mentioned it, but I cant replicate the issue. I'll keep it running though.
(although i'm on PC, various browsers)

My I-spy has been working fine on everything except my laptop (I have to refresh the page to update). Probably a Windows issue, ie. yet another buggy update (tossers!).
