View Full Version : George Robertson poem post derby
Thought I would share this with you, hope you dont mind George but it has to go out there 😆🇳🇬👍
That Hibs feeling.
Oh the joy....the finest pleasure...
When ball and foot come together.
The rippling net....sings like the lark...
and so do we at Tynecastle park.
That feeling...that pure Hibs feeling..
a soul alive....the head is reeling.
your stomach chants the buttetfly tune...
when we deflate those in maroon.
The abslolute fun to see their sadness...
their hate for us...their utter madness.
They snarl and spit...grind their teeth...
and detest us singing Sunshine on Leith.
The music of joy...the Harp...the Organ..
the rippling net from the boot of Horgan.
Ah the fire...the flame...the spark...
the Hibs feeling at Tynecasle park.

Many thanks for posting
Is this the same guy that penned a poem to SJM a ST holder who drinks in the Cask Southside?
Might be a totally different guy?

George is Robbo's brother. Used to sit in The Right Wing writing his poems. A great guy and big Hibby. Not seen him in a while. Where is he drinking these days?

George wrote a couple of poems for Jimmy O’Rourke to recite when he toured Australia back in 2007.
I’ve still got them somewhere.
