Hi everyone.
I'm relatively new to Hibs, so sorry for a silly question but is there a place somewhere I can find the lyrics of the currently popular Hibs chants?
E.g. any discussions in this forum I might have missed? Other forums?

Some of the straightforward ones for the club that are timeless/new but will become timeless:

We are Hibernian FC
We hate Jam Tarts and we hate Dundee
And we will fight wherever we may be
For we are the mental HFC

Hail hail, the Hibs are here
All for goals and glory, all for goals and glory
Hail hail, the Hibs are here
All for goals and glory now,
For it's a grand old team to play for
For it's a grand old team to see
And if, you know, your history
It's enough to make that heart go
We don't care what the animals say
What the hell do we care
For we only know that there's gonna be a show
And the Edinburgh Hibees will be there

Allez Allez Allez Au
Allez Allez Allez Au
Hibernian FC
From the Capital

Hibs, Hibs, woahhhh
Hibs, Hibs, woahhhh
Hibs, Hibs, woahhhh
Hibs, Hibs, Hibees 3 Rangers 2
Jambos know that it's true
F*** yer 1902

Hibees!

Hibees!

Hibees!

Two of my favourite HIBS songs of all time

Turnbulls Tornadoes and Hibernian give us a goal

Here's some more ephemeral ones (i.e. for individual players), with the original tunes they're based from, where I know it. I'm sure there's more that I don't immediately recall.

Ritchie Valens - La Bamba
Marvin Bartley, Marvin Bartley
He's so much better than that **** Paul Hartley

Bowie - Starman
There's a Starman, playing on the right
His name is Martin Boyle and he's ****ing dynamite!

Earth Wind & Fire - September
Ayee-ay Darren McGregor
Ayee-ay He's a class defender
Ayee-ay He never gives the ball away

White Stripes - Seven Nation Army
Aaaah wee Stevie Mallan

Stone Roses - Waterfall
Hecky's at the wheel
Tell me how good does it feel,
with Horgan and Mallan and Gray
Flo Kamberi and Marc McNulty

Righeira - L'Estate Sta Finendo
Two-nil down at Tynie
It's happening again
Another year of sorrow
Will this nightmare never end?

And then up stepped Paul Hanlon
A Hibee through and through
We had our day at Hampden,
and owe it all to you

Allez allez allez
Allez allez allez, etc

Baby Bird - You're Gorgeous
Because you're Porteous - I'll do anything for you

4 Non-Blondes - What's going on?
Ayayayay
Ayayay
I said hey, Thomas Agyepong

Verdi - Triumphal March from Aida
Na na na
Lewis Stevenson
Lewis Stevenson
Stevenson
Stevenson
Na na na

Unknown
Do do do Stephane Omegona

Boney M - Daddy Cool
David - David Gray
David - David Gray

Pilot - Magic
Oh hoh hoh He's magic - you know
Ofir Marciano

Solomon Linda & other cover artists - The Lion Sleeps tonight
There's a striker, a big Swiss striker
called Florian Kamberi
Signed by Lennon, to bring some venom
And play the Hibees Way

Oh Kamberi, Kamberi, Kamberi, ...

Give me Joy in my Heart - hymn
(sung when we sneak above them in the league, and reciprocated otherwise!)
Mind the gap, mind the gap Jambo *******s
Mind the gap, mind the gap I say
Mind the gap, mind the gap, Jambo *******s
cause it's getting bigger every ****ing day.

Black Lace's Do The Conga

https://youtu.be/0V6N4elMVX4

Can't wait to see the players Conga their way back to the halfway line when he gets his first goal, whilst we all sing the song. Guaranteed to get ourselves on Soccer Saturday.

And the BBC will probably credit the goal to Dominique Malonga!

How about the more recent "We were there" chant?
Also the one about "We've got Horgan and Mallan and Gray"?

What's the full lyrics? :)

To the tune Seasons In The Sun

We are hibs
We are good
We have Celtic on the run

Repeat as many times as you are able

“When the HIBS went up to lift the Scottish Cup we were there.”

Usually reserved for matches versus the Huns ( The Rangers) purely for wind up purposes

Their usual response is a couple of choruses of “Hello Hello” and something about being up to their knees in fenian blood :greengrin

Another question (and forgive my ignorance) - what's the context of the "We are the people" chant?

Haha no, I started following Hibs and Scottish football very recently, so honestly don't know.

In that case if you do not know what it means already you would have to ask a Hun (see above definition) as it is not something we would sing

They seem to attach a false sense of importance a false sense of entitlement to their club but it is an irrelevant notion as they let their club die in 2012 :greengrin

Now the world is against them indeed they were extremely lucky that they were allowed to start their new club (The Rangers) in the lowest tier of the top leagues in Scotland

A wee introduction to modern Scottish Football history for you

It's something Rangers sing, but when we're leading handsomely at Ibrox (which happens more often than you'd think), Hibs fans sing it back to them just to get under their skin. Also can be "where are the people?"

Been sung vociferously in the face of Huns by Hibernian fans on several recent visits to Ibrox.
