I don't want to take away from a very positive result and performance today from the team, but was sitting in the South stand and it is looking/feeling very grubby and in bad need of a face lift. I know there has been some damage from away fans recently which doesn't help, but the crumbling paint, weeds, broken rows of seats was very apparent today.

I think these are things that The Working Together group deal with. Not something I can ever really get along to, but pretty sure I read on here that stadium decoration was a subject for discussion.

The Queue at the Snack Bar was also unbelievably long. At one point they only had one girl serving, and was two at most.

I’ve been saying this for a while.

Whole stadium needs maintenance and improvements to keep it at a decent level. That includes hospitality as some of it is looking dated.

Afaik, there needs to be a high contrast on the edge of the step. The steps originally had this- a yellow, non slip tread. They were painted over. And not replaced.

Looking at East Steps today this is worn away / non existent.

Looked like someone fell in Famous Five also and needed medical attention?!

I realise the issue originally pointed out was health and safety, so much higher priority, but it's also true that some parts of the stadium are looking a little shabby.

If the club wanted to arrange some days when volunteers helped them out with minor repairs or re-painting, I'd happily volunteer. I know some fans have actually done this before.

If you get a chance to come along to the Working Together meeting we have a Stadium Decoration / Update group where they have been walking round the stadium and identifying the areas where we need to improve on internally and externally.

Our next meeting is Monday 25th March at 6.30pm. If unable to make it happy to take some details and pass them over to the group.

Thanks

Thanks.

Was this a cost saving exercise, and did all the guys get, tupe'd over?

The reason I ask, is that the place is looking a bit run down, as others have said, the steps in the east need attention.

Thanks for reply Tracy.

I’ve noticed it more than ever this season. Having been on the tour and sat in different areas of the stadium it’s definitely needing work.

From the dressing rooms / hospitality to even the toilets in west stand where there is parts of the wall needing fixed.

Do we have someone who is solely responsible for the stadium maintenance or is it just an external company ?

Hopefully it’s sorted as ER is a fantastic venue and don’t want it looking shabby like Tynie and Killie stadiums.

Colin Millar is our Operations Manager and this is one of the tasks he is looking at and working with the Working Together Group on the smaller issues. The club are aware that some areas are looking tired and these need addressed. We are also doing some branding work at the moment so that everything within the stadium or for marketing purposes is the same.
