Pace is a problem all over the pitch. You can't really coach that. Heck is doing a very good job with what he has been left. No doubt there needs to be a big reshuffle next year but for all the defence gets slaughtered on here our defence is 5th best in the league on goals conceded and has let up fewer goals than Hearts and Aberdeen having played a game more. That is despite our best performing defenders being injured or having left since the winter break. Hecks team has also defended a wee bit better than Lennon's on goals conceded per game average despit two away games and one against a free scoring The Rangers.

I do agree that pace is one of our weak points but I think it is more of an issue in midfield.

I do agree that pace is one of our weak points but I think it is more of an issue in midfield.I don't get the bashing of our defence I'm here...yes it needs improving in the summer no doubt but the midfield is the real issue...it's slow, weak and virtually no creativity other than Horgan. Mallan is largely anonymous whenever he plays...Milligan though effective defensively just slows everything down and rarely plays a forward pass. That midfield needs ripped up in the summer and we need to build again from scratch. We have made a good start getting Scott Allan back but we need to build an entire midfield imo...with perhaps the exception of Slivka who was missed tonight

The whole team is lacking real pace.

McNulty, Omeonga and Horgan over 5/10 yards are the closest to being fast.

I'm not sure.
It's definitely not about the bar service in the Nip (office 🙄)
Or about the East Stand food kiosk service around 7:40pm
Both were top notch.

Do tell.

Mallan might be the slowest midfield player in the history of football

Pace is only needed if you're bad at defending (Sergio Ramos is a good example of this)
Reading of the game is far more important.
We need new defenders but it's nothing to do with pace.

McGregor and Hanlon and more than quick enough to be central defenders. It's our attacking having no pace that's bothers me but that is because of injuries.

If Hanlon is caught 1 on 1 he is easy to go past its like he has concrete boots on. Mcgregor is fine our problem in the middle of defence is all hanlon at the moment
